@Aurini As an aside, just out of kicks reading about the fake religions of warhammer, there was one deity that was fascinating and felt spooky: nurgle.
On first glance, he's just gross. The god of pestilence and decay. Filthy, ew, move on right? But he's really the god of entropy.
@Aurini But "entropy" - from what? Everything decays, all form collapses. But into what? Well, nothing in particular. But as more order collapses into "nothing in particular", the disorder becomes the new order.
And this "uniformity" breaks down. The breakdown of Nurgle creates the...
@Aurini ... chaos gods. Creating a new order, until Nurgle reaches his lowest point, where the other gods break down into - nothing in particular; nurgle. So Nurgle is eternal, everyone else has cycles.
What's spooky is the appeal of nurgle. Say you're in a stressful situation...
@Aurini What are some responses? Typically, you behave more primitively. Even fighters, when shocked, will lose much of their form. Their own order breaks down.
Or figeting with something while nervous. Chewing on something. A collapse of some greater concern into the direct, visceral.
@Aurini Are you happier when you have several issues on your mind, or when you're "in the moment", thinking about nothing but one particular thing? Like an animal. It's subtle, but the appeal of nurgle isn't pestilence, it's comfort. "Let go, begin again"
@Aurini If movie writers were smart, they'd make a movie where the protagonists are dealing with the chaos gods. And all throughout, they're baffled as to how Nurgle, which they call the plague god, has so many followers. But all throughout, one of their retinue members was nurgle.
@Aurini It'd be a cool reveal at the end - "I was so happy when you chewed your nails, and when you stop talking and just let your mind wander." Nurgle is also one of the two chaos gods that actually cares about his followers, and is most sanguine about everything, since he's seen it
@Aurini millions of times before. I think it's best he comes in the form of a small tomboyish girl. Dirty and immodest. Like a good mystery novel, the clues should exist for the viewer to predict the reveal. Even if not one in a million see it coming, it should be possible in principle.

@DmitriyUngern@EsoShaggy Well, in the brief window TRS was actually on youtube, Enoch got several times more views than Fuentes. So did I, incidentally.
I literally don't show my likeness at all. Vaush is way more popular than Nick, and his image is about as bad as you can get.
Not sure what your point on that is though, since we're talking about viewership, not whatever these "political organizations" are supposed to do.
@DmitriyUngern@EsoShaggy NJP is definitely better in terms of message. Christian Nationalism is an electoral loser, while labor socialism and protectionism are winners. Both are anti-immigrant, both are anti-blob. AF is older and benefited from the period of non-censorship, NJP didn't. So actually...
