The purported phrase "and yet, it moves" from Galileo, I never really understood. Seemed like an off-hand comment, real or apocryphal, that meant nothing more than he didn't really repent - which was obvious, and the church itself certainly knew they didn't really change his mind But over time, I've come to see the statement as more meaningful. For example, the COVID stuff, Iraq WMDs, Race realism. Perhaps you can out-argue the orthodoxy, and perhaps you can out-argue to a degree that will overcome public faith in the truth towers. Maybe...sniff...maybe.

@hbd_orbiter @ba_bingo It's basic wiki stuff. By 1944, there were, according to wiki, 600,000 Hiwis.

That is the absolute minimum of former Soviet territory vols.

The documentation of hiwis wasn't complete. Also, no idea what proportion were in the SS or German army. @hbd_orbiter @ba_bingo As an aside, this also sheds light on the SS vs. Germany conflict that occurred in the universe where Nazi Germany "won". Dark grey are the "fully loyal" areas to the Empire, light grey are quasi-loyal.

From 2016 to 2020, Trump improved with 30-44 year olds.

I wonder if narrative-believers imagine, at age 18 or so, that "racial equality" will happen, or like, all the rosy promises of the shitlib package will happen, then realize "no". Certainly, I've noticed that as shitlibs get older, they either stop being shitlibs, or start to blame democrats for, supposedly, not actually implementing the policies they want.

No doubt there is some of that, but mostly I think it's the policy effects aren't what they thought

@solar_sorcerer @ShintoDemagogue Well, I don't think that's why. There's no clear benefit to dying. It's more that the traits of those past the age of 30 weren't selected for, because for most of human existence, that was evolutionarily irrelevant since odds were most would die long before then. @solar_sorcerer @ShintoDemagogue "Aging" is something like 50 processes, each, fundamentally, "curable". Something anti-aging researchers note is how there's optimism among researchers in every narrow sub-field relevant to aging, but they're all pessimistic about it overall.

One thing about map games is that players always end up being far more rational within the rules of the map game than "real-world" actions would be within those game rules.

So, the question - is this a product of the limited model of the map game, or idiot real-world leaders? Of course, they kinda flow between each other. Bad incentives, narrow interests. In map game, all regimes are dictatorships in the purest sense. The player acts as a kind of "spirit of the nation" whose only interest is the relative "mass" of his nation.

@PaiMeiMasacre @SnowGroyper @MyMoviesPlus @NickJFuentes Well there's really not much beef at all, AFAIK. It's more like, he's a pretty pedestrian guy, jury's out on whether he does more harm than good, I guess he's a good speaker? His political instincts are terrible, he's probably gay but presents as trad-cath. Like, what's to say? @PaiMeiMasacre @SnowGroyper @MyMoviesPlus @NickJFuentes I think one issue is the disparity of importance. Like, I now think Nick's probably gay, I'm not "50-50" anymore, which means the trad cath thing is either a scam or self-denial. But that's not very important because Nick's not very important, except as you make him.

@JasonWayneKelly @cenkuygur "Too"? Also you're not a "lefty" you're a person.

There isn't a "right-wing religion". There are people, for a wide variety of reasons, that don't ascribe to some of the central narratives of your place and time. It can be simply because they're ornery and don't... @JasonWayneKelly @cenkuygur ..."advance" beyond primitive universals (him different - keep out. Two man sex gross, stop it.) - that is clearly NOT religion. What you call "racism" shouldn't have an "ism" on it, because there's not some "doctrine of racism", it just is...

@Conkor17 @peaceinvirtue What he means to others or what's really happening between his ears? To others, the "social meaning", is the oppression-privilege narrative and assumption of privilege as achievement, entitlement.

But his visceral hatred of say, Trump supporters, is something he can't verbalize. @Conkor17 @peaceinvirtue The true "id" of Vaush's anti-white hatred - we know it's not the stated reasons, because he doesn't hate Jews or Japanese, or really any group that "commits" the same kinds of "sins" he hates Europeans for.

But the real reasons is then... what? Self-hatred as Atlas said works..

I think I've distilled why I hate shitlibs so much. "White shitlib" is mostly redundant.

Basically, the (white) shitlib is saying:
"I want a world where everything I do and enjoy can't exist".

The white shitlib ideal, from a policy standpoint, is Angola... They can say "diversity" and you might imagine a middling Eurasian/Amerindian civilization.

But look at the shifting attacks on NE Asians as "internalizing white supremacy" because they're not shitty day-to-day. Arabs will be increasingly attacked for anti-black "racism".

@BronskiJoseph lolwut? How can a phone and text program "lag"? It's literally a text program, with some bells and whistles that were pioneered around 1985, and a fixed-function DSP to convert a bitstream generated by something that detects air pressure variation, and vice versa, back and forth. @BronskiJoseph HTF do you have "lag" for something so simple, and where the primary function (the DSP air pressure encoder-decoder), and secondary function (text generator), are so simple that they require no CPU?

@Erbhof @fairhair_harold @qazdr06 Well there are only three "classes" of Hitlerian peace proposals / settlements:
1. With the UK and company
2. With the USSR
3. With Poland @Erbhof @fairhair_harold @qazdr06 IIRC we were talking about Poland. 4 reasons why Hitler's proposal to Poland was genuine and NOT a "thin end of the wedge":
1. Hitler's proposal(s) did not weaken Poland's defensive position in any meaningful way (Danzig had like 40k ppl IIRC, and weren't loyal to Poland anyway)

@t68290220 @Dieselmann99 Look bruh, say Ralph is 90% of the time a decent guy, 9% crazy and prone to rage, 1% of the time a psycho.

A-logs will create a collage of him based mostly on the 1%. Would Ralph have posted the revenge porn had he not been hounded by a-logs? I don't know for sure, but... @t68290220 @Dieselmann99 ... it would certainly make it a lot less likely. I anticipate "but the revenge porn posting as a specific event against one person" - okay, honey, when you're being mobbed, you don't separate conflicts out in your mind. In a mobbing situation, all attacks are treated singularly.

@ludvik_cz @wVivare Uh... I mean, there are no experiments in "history", there is no such thing as a "historical method", that is a self-fellating sham. If you're a credentialist I happen to have a BA in "history" and I think it should be burned to the fucking ground. @ludvik_cz @wVivare So like, compared to any other "academic field", "history" is going to be far and away the worst. That "humanities" took the place of theology is not just a superficial talking point but a concrete fact in terms of enrollment. And that the "University" is literally the church...

@ludvik_cz @wVivare Okay but you're denying the convergence of evidence in this instance because you think the multiple lines of evidence that were made up and/or cherry-picked are crap. @ludvik_cz @wVivare An example of (royal) you doing this is with killing methods - gas chambers. I don't have a textual analysis, but from my readings of IMT interviews, gas chambers were less than half of the killing methods claimed at the camps by the witnesses. I.e. the majority of witness...

@ludvik_cz @wVivare Okay so you're basing the biggest mass murder in history off of confessions you assume weren't coerced? @ludvik_cz @wVivare Just step back for a moment - biggest mass murder in human history. The claims were Dachau, Belsen, Ohdruf, Natzweiler, Mauthausen, and prob others, were killing factories. Then, US and UK army investigations said nope. So those were lies.

@RealHalseyE Sure, but more importantly, it was a radical about-face regarding Jews right after a supposed mass murder of Jews, for a regime whose vanguard was something like ~40% Jewish. Anti-Jewish repression was ratcheting up while anti-christian repression was easing up. @RealHalseyE Now, I'm not saying that this was done for the sole purpose of vindicating the holocaust, clearly Stalin's power struggle against Jews predated WW2. I can only speculate right now, that Stalin was predisposed against Jews, and reifying the holocaust by concealing...

@Contact_Reality @I_need_uhhhh Not only that, but with ~270,000 or so, which is what the Red Cross and actual Nazi records show (the Nazis supposedly destroyed the records showing millions murdered), then you have a problem where the life expectancy in a camp was similar to, say, being a person in Ukraine. @Contact_Reality @I_need_uhhhh And certainly far higher than being in the German or Red armies. And most importantly, not a planned mass murder. At most, a regime that held the camp conditions at a low priority, which toward the end of the war meant getting nothing.

@kinoenterprises @Phil19eighty4 Well with the benefit of hindsight, it appears quite clear that the vax will end up being far worse than the actual virus. Two reasons for this:

1. The virus ended up being a lot less lethal than I think the relevant bodies thought.
2. The spike protein could mutate. @kinoenterprises @Phil19eighty4 Another thing - why a vaccine that focuses so narrowly on the spike protein? Why not the whole thing? The obvious problem with such a narrowly-focused vaccine is that if that one piece changes, those antibodies become useless.

@Argos_dk @uyhi71 @UBERSOY1 @Bubumajster @jollyheretic Okay, you need to have like, 3 shots of text crap. Because say I showed you the October 4th speech was an obvious fake. It was a supposed recording, it was clearly spliced, a "secret meeting, tell noone" but was recorded both by a phonograph and a typist. @Argos_dk @uyhi71 @UBERSOY1 @Bubumajster @jollyheretic So say we go through all of that, through the "speech", find the supposed audio recording, and conclude the October 4th speech was a hoax. Okay, then, in 1970, some butthole "researcher" "found" the October 6th speech. No audio recording this time - smart, that's harder to fake.

Re: Twitter - Elon Musk has reduced censorship, put the tweet views on the tweet, and exposed all of the degree to which Twitter was controlled by the FBI and how the company lied about shadow-bans and algorithming etc.

What excactly is the basis for all of the hate toward him? I know shitlibs are getting marching orders, but it's so bizarre that before this, Musk was a Good GuyTM, and the only change was the improvements to twitter.

Yes, part of the improvement is that shitlibs can't get away with being terrorists and pedophiles.

On the denial of divergent evolution in humans, I recall Noam Chomsky claiming that South Africa ended white independence because a the "global elite" - aka "the borg" - wanted to turn South Africa into a high-tech, information economy. Now at the time, anyone who had either studied the topic of race and intelligence, or hadn't abandoned their protective layer of base bigotry, would recognize that this was insane and could never work. But I wonder if maybe the borg is "in too deep".
