The class struggle/overcoming the domination of huge fortunes according to Karl

If we follow Karl Marx, the central conflict of modern man is the overcoming of the rule of men with the huge, illegitimate fortunes and the associated alienation and impoverishment of the majority of people through the rule of money, of capital.

For Marx, self-alienation has its roots in the alienation of the worker from the product of his labour; this does not belong to him for his own enjoyment, but to the employer.

The product of his gainful labour (wage labour) becomes a commodity, that is, a thing alien to the gainful worker (wage labourer), which, because he has to buy it in order to exist, makes him dependent. Accordingly, work is no longer everything that man does for himself and ...

for others and an expression of man's urge to be active, but becomes "alienated labour", forced labour.

The alienation from the product of labour also leads to a further "alienation of man from man", which applies beyond the class struggle to all interpersonal relations that increasingly lose their immediacy.

Man, who himself becomes a commodity, loses his freedom and culture, his inner world becomes poorer and poorer. People are increasingly losing their human purpose and their dignity.

Man at the height of capitalism becomes a "lost man", his existence becomes the "complete loss of man", his being becomes a "dehumanised being".

But at the climax of this development - Karl Marx believes he can prove - the turning point must come. When the majority of human beings become conscious of their alienation, they will become "misery conscious of its spiritual and

physical misery, misery conscious of its dehumanisation, and therefore dehumanisation that cancels itself out.

Through the ever-increasing concentration of wealth in fewer and fewer hands, combined with an increasing pauperisation of the masses, the ruling class of the huge, illegitimate fortunes will become its own death-bearer.

The task of this coming upheaval is to "make man man again", so that "man is the highest being for man".

It is a matter of overturning "all relations [of the rule of men over men] in which man is a degraded, a subjugated, an abandoned, a contemptible being."

It is a matter of bringing about "the true kingdom of freedom", of releasing man into the "whole richness of his being" and thus finally overcoming alienation.

Karl Marx, however, did not give any information on how the overcoming of the rule of the ruling class is to be accomplished and what the new social order to be created can look like.
That is and remains our task!
