Apparently Engel-2 Airbase was hit with at least 2 aircraft damaged. Its likely though not confirmed that the aircraft would be either Tu-160 or T-95 strategic bombers.
Once again some Kremlin staffer has to tell Czar Pooptin that the thing they told him Ukraine couldn't do, they did. So some quick thoughts on the fall out. @wartranslated is already reporting Kleptogradian mil-bloggers are raging.
Threats of nuclear war and doomcasting aside there are four likely moves from Russia. First, consider it a one off and do nothing as too not disrupt the pace of operations. Given how stupid the Russian military is this can't be discounted even if it flies in the face of every
bit of common sense. Two, move some ADA units to the base to protect against drone strikes. This is the quick fix and has the least impact on operations while still adding some security. Three, move everything back to a range of at least 1200km from Ukraine. This will have a
major impact on operations unless there is another fully stocked airbase around that distance. I say 1200km because Ukraine is openly bragging about a 1000km drone. Moving a bomber fleet is not easy. The planes can move quickly but the spares, stores and ground crews need to be
packed up in an organized manner, loaded on to trains, shipped out unpacked and reset up. SAdd in winter snows and vodka.... The fourth option is to do number 2 while moving enough stuff to start number 3 but not moving the bombers until 3 is ready for at least limited
operations. This will slow down the pace of missile strikes over the medium term. It makes the most sense so I have my doubts that Russia will follow this path. What are your thoughts? The stroke is also a testament to the sheer audacity of the Ukrainians. Big brass ones those
people. Despite Russia and its history of genocide against them they decided to turn to the West, over threw a Russian puppet, fought Russia to a standstill in 14 and are now taking everything Russia can throw at them and punching back deep. Russia is being humiliated for her
folly and avarice. You know who else has big brass ones? The Iranian women. I have a poll going for a few more hours, go vote. Yes I know the real answer is both, but I can only afford to donate to one at the moment. The winner gets an essay devoted to their heroism on Wednesday.
Sadly for the Persian ladies there is not much that western leaders like @JohnBoozman, @SenTomCotton , and @RepFrenchHill can do for them. maybe advance a bill that offers instant sanctions relief as soon as Iran has a democratic election where candidates are not pre-selected by
Guardian Counsel. Also if the ladies win, does anyone know of any charities supporting them? I have a whole list of Ukrainian charities: @MriyaAid, @UkraineAidOps, @LibertyUkraineF, @3xR_team to chose from. I picked @U24_gov_ua for this one if Ukraine wins. Ya'll also know that
I support the @georgian_legion and sad news there. 5 Georgians recently gave their lives for Ukraine: Heroem Slava!
The other unit I support the @belwarriors must be seething with rage as Shoigu flew to Minsk apparently so that Lukashenko could sign over more Belarussian sovereignty in a desperate big not to get windowitus or a brew of bad tea. The only good news on that front is its always
funt to watch Russia claim to be a great power and then go begging hat in hand. Imagine the envy they feel looking at all the NATO hand me downs Ukraine is getting. Of course, Russia hasn't thrown in the towel yet so Ukraine still needs more, better and now.
Until Ukraine Wins On Ukraine's Terms: Slava Ukraini! #RussiaIsLosing #RussiaIsATerroristState #GenocideOfUkrainians #UkraineWillWin @mfa_russia <--- still losing and what Engels-2 doing?

I don't know how long this thread will go, or how many threads this topic will require its going to be lengthy. Before I begin, a bit of house keeping. @MontayBayBay for @CurtMoss8 Image
So lets dig into Ukrainian bravery. I am not going very far back into time. No talk about Viking heritage, facing the Mongols, Napoleon or Hitler. Those people are gone. They belong to the past. Our story starts in Nov 2013 when Yanukovich betrayed his nation and ignored the law
ordering him to turn towards Europe. Instead as a good lackey he attempted to prostrate Ukraine before Putin's feet. The people rallied against him and for their efforts had the security services turned on them. People were shot, kids were beaten but the protests only grew. One

So short one today, at the Mechanic's getting the wife's car serviced. If you don't know @MontayBayBay is doing a challenge coin auction to benefit the @georgian_legion BUT there is a side event going on. If you can't afford to bid on a coin for yourself you can kick in to get
@CurtMoss8 one. He is a disabled American vet in a nursing home.just post up on the auction tweet with how much you are bidding or kicking in for Curt. Reminder:all payments but shipping should be paid directly to the Georgian Legion once the auction is complete.
Fundraising for The Wolves is why #NAFO was founded well that and us crazy cartoon dog #Fellas love to bonk Russians who pronounce nonsense. We can't do it alone. Neither can the Ukrainians. I mean they can do the fighting but they need the kit. The civillians need infrastructure

This video shows some amazing Russian efforts at modernize their war fighting. Apparently, they are trying to move from a WWI style infantry-based army to a Winter War style infantry based army. This will be a generational leap in capabilities.
Russia lost WWI and ended up losing Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltics, Poland and several other areas. Things seem to be headed the same direction in 22. Hence the modernization campaign to Winter War Standards where Russia eventually gained Karelia from Finland. Though to honest
I am not sure the average Russian will be able to tell the difference. I guess I could list out 5 or so differences but given that they can't count since they lost their fingers to frostbite it would be pointless. More seriously though, we see hundreds of men marching in the snow

Well that is what's called waking up to the Earth Moved. 5 big things on the ticket today. First, conservstives are feeling rather justified. With Twittergate about to blow up the American political scene right before the GOP takes over the House things are going to be intense.
1. Twittergate 2. Russian Public Opinion 3. retreat from Zaporizhia 4. #Ukrainiancounteroffensive 5. inability to reconstitute offensive power. Thise 5 things are on Putin's palte today and only one of them looks tasty to him, remember that and don't help him with it.
Between Zuckbucks and Twittergate its now rather clear that the 2020 election was not conducted on a level playing field. Russia is going push every possible narrative around this they can. This is a golden opportunity for them to sow more division. I think we (Americans) all

America we have a problem. There is now a ven diagram with 3 circles that are extreme left, extreme right and antisemitism. It does not matter if the anti-semite is some evil white dude motivated by the Turner Diaries or a black nationalist shooting up a Jewish deli its dangerous
and evil. But there are a couple more circles that fit as well. Groups Russia has tried to influence and groups that support Russia in Ukraine. Kim Dotscam was right when he said Ye is done. When you make Alex Jones back up and say whoa, well you've gone straight past the looney
bin and dived into oblivion. But here is the thing, Kim (who has a lot of US followers) didn't say Ye was wrong, only wrong to say the quiet part out loud. Russia is going to make absolute hay with this and claim: Americans think there is something to love about Hitler, and if

Let's talk casualty care. The UMOD has Russian deaths at 90K and if they are still tracking along with Russia's own MOD admissions that got leaked several months ago then this number is at least in the ball park or reality. It certainly squares with the images we see coming from
Bakhmut. Those types of trench based positional fights chew up men. The provision of the M30A1 MLRS rocket certainly won't help Russia stop the bleeding... On the other side there is the (corrected) claim that Ukraine has suffered 100K casualties: dead, wounded, missing, and KIA.
With later speculation that the real numbers are 10K dead and 40K seriously wounded. Now none of those numbers are real but they do offer insights. 90K Russian deaths begs a serious question: how many wounded. The traditional ratio of dead to wounded was 1:3. I think that might
