BREAKING: SEIU Local 87 Janitors at Twitter HQ went on strike at 6am today. Picket line starting at 12 noon, 1355 Market St. in San Francisco. #TakeOnTheTwit Group of Janitors holding picket signs
The unit of union janitors went out at 6:00 this morning on a ULP strike for failure to bargain. They’ll be maintaining the picket lines, despite the rain.

Friday is the last day of the contract between the union contractor and Twitter.
Twitter indicates their new contractor will not be rehiring the janitors, despite obligation to rehire per county and state requirements.

Twitter doesn’t seem to understand how important it is to keep a clean house and respect the people who take out the trash. #TakeOnTheTwit Janitors holding signs saying Proud to be Union
Update: Twitter has now terminated the contract employing the striking union janitors who had been working at Twitter HQ in San Francisco.

More to come. Picket line outside of Twitter HQ
