The stories of Muslims in #Karauli need to be told.
Today, I along with @Samriddhi0809 was in the violence inflicted area the entire day. We met families from both the communities. But the pain that the Muslims have incurred is beyond what one could imagine. 1
Somebody claims to have lost stock of 5lac Rupees and someone says that they lost over 35lacs.
Someone's 18-year-old son was assaulted by police and someone could not stop crying since they have never seen a time like this before. 2

Shops have been burnt, with nothing but debris left. People's houses & mosque been marked as restricted area stating it's a 'Crime Scene' but the main accused still roams free. While most of the shops burnt were of Muslims, most to be arrested were also Muslims. 3

The results to the pan-India must be that BJP has done a lot of work in the State. However, the reality remains restricted in the minds of the locals there. (1/5)
As per the conversations that I have had with locals from Agartala, Belonia and Dharamanagar, ambience of fear prevailed from at least 2 nights prior to the polls. Threats were being given to locals that they shouldn't go for voting else the result won't be good for them.(2/5)
After the State saw a series of vandalism, not a lot of people were there to cover the polls either because they feared that they would be punished by the State for the same. Poll rigging as per locals was at its peak. Outsiders, ones they didn't know captured booths.(3/5)
