The bus was first put into service in early November. It failed to charge on the second charge cycle (fuse)
The heat pump cracked (manufacturer used water not cold temp fluid) and pump was replaced this week.

Day 2 of in service was today
The charge dropped from 100% to 80% in 6 hours of non-use.
After 30 minutes of driving and waiting time (10kms) the charge dropped to 60%
The driver is heading for the fast charge station ($60 flat rate) so he can continue on his schedule
😏
Today's EV update.
The electric bus was used this morning after a replacement heat pump installed by an independent vehicle repair shop yesterday.
The heat pump stopped working - in less 15 minutes of operation.
The EV bus is once again...
'out-of-service' (indefinitely)
😹
Today's update:
The second heat pump repair was recently completed
The bus went for a trial run yesterday ~ 𝙣𝙤 interior heat, they have no idea what's wrong
The bus plugged in (-35°C) showed 100% charge. As soon as it was unplugged, the charge 𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 10%
🤪
Today's update:
The EV bus has been used for the last few days with mixed results
It loses 10% of the charge every 12-15km roundtrip, it's turned off while waiting to preserve charge
It's charged every time there's more than an hour break between uses.
At 0°C full charge provides a 70km range
The charging station is 3km from the office so a gas powered pickup truck is used by the driver to go back and forth from the office to charging station
A driver didn't plug it in correctly after night shift so the morning shift was SOL
The luggage space is sorely inadequate (50% space of regular bus) the driver loads luggage in the middle of the aisle to accommodate the passengers.
They're using a bus from another business to pick up excess people & luggage as their gas powered bus is in for electrical work.
Their plan was to use the EV bus for the mornings and gas bus for the afternoon and evenings but now it's pressed into full-time use so it heads to the charging station every chance they get.
