The CEO, Simon Thompson wrote to customers today.

The letter was full of untruths.

Firstly Royal Mail say 11,000 ‘frontline staff’ went to work. Claiming the strike is weakening

There are 14,000 non CWU members - mainly admin, acting managers

So they can’t even convince all of them to come to work let alone out 115,000 rock solid members

They say the last posting date must be December 16th. This is rubbish. If they put a proper offer on the table then our members would be back to work and they would save Christmas.

This is a choice to destroy postal workers and the service.

They say they have offered 9%

No backpay, no guarantee of when it will be paid, part of it is a £500 one off payment that they can’t say what the criteria for payment is.

Shambolic. Untrue.

They say they are not making compulsory redundancies. They have put a proposal to the CWU just days ago to do exactly this post March 2023.

Postal workers strike again tomorrow. They need you more than ever. They also need you do get the message and truth out there.
