The letter was full of untruths.

#StandByYourPost Firstly Royal Mail say 11,000 ‘frontline staff’ went to work. Claiming the strike is weakening

There are 14,000 non CWU members - mainly admin, acting managers

So they can’t even convince all of them to come to work let alone out 115,000 rock solid members

Today Royal Mail Group have called together every postal worker in the UK and announced they want to make 10,000 redundancies.

This is nothing but an intimidation tactic aimed at crushing the spirit of our members #StandByYourPost General Secretary @DaveWardGS “The announcement is the result of gross mismanagement and a failed business agenda of ending daily deliveries, a wholesale levelling-down of the terms, pay and conditions of postal workers, and turning Royal Mail into a gig economy style courier.

Last night @IanKingSky published an article stating the union should be worried about our position on the Royal Mail Group plans to ‘modernise’

Ian didn’t offer us a chance to comment so here’s a thread 🧵 Ian said the company needed to modernise. What he didn’t say was that Royal Mail want to put some workers start times back 3 hours. That’s mail arriving 3 hours later than it does now.

In what way is modernisation getting the product to the customer later?
