Fitch would have you believe those of us working in information advocacy are cherry picking data.

Of the 733 pgs of our recent RTI, 314 pgs (43%) are 35 withheld reports, citing over 350 studies, 80 media items and 40 commentaries on Long Covid.

The "context" is GNB deception.
Fitch knows the damning nature of this information and seeks to trivialize it with outright lies about its content.

Fitch is counting on nobody checking this dismissive minimization of what the record clearly shows; GNB sat on its hands for 28 months while NBers suffered.

PoP NB submitted a RTI request for records of discussions of Long Covid. The response brings to light a shocking level of deception perpetrated against the people of NB, under which true magnitude of risk was hidden and the fundamental precepts of public health were abandoned.

First, it is important to acknowledge the ethical framework of Public Health, as set out by PHAC, states scientific uncertainty should not prevent decision makers from taking action to reduce risks associated with COVID-19.

NB Public Health therefore has an ethical duty to apply precaution.
However, we now know NB decision makers had a staggering quantity of high quality information detailing the prevalence and mechanisms of the long term complications of Covid-19.

They simply chose to ignore it.

On April 27 members of PoPNB submitted a RTI request to NB DoH for records referencing the “harmful impacts of masking,” since this concept had become a cornerstone of justifications offered by CMOH Russell. The response evidences incompetence and undermines Russell’s narrative.
As detailed last week, when asked for records supplying justification for removing all pandemic protections, NB DoH offered a widely debunked study authored by economists linked to far-right libertarian think tanks founded by Big Oil and the Koch brothers.
The non-peer-reviewed working paper was being circulated within the DoH in early February 2022, at a time when the government’s narrative was switching from the pandemic being a serious issue to the pandemic being over.
