First the good news. The authors aren't gender theorists. They collected data on, among other things, this:
Now the bad news.
"Crashes" were identified only if they showed up as an Emergency Room visit, and thus recorded. "Crashes" that didn't require a hospital visit did not make the list.
Worst!
"Crashes" included "driver, passenger, or pedestrian".
Passengers and walkers!
Meaning somebody crapping out from a vax-induced heart attack and running over a unvaxxed person would be included as a "vaccine hesitant crash".
That's a bit of a joke, but you get the idea.
Here's the other huge stats flaw. Can you see it? The answer revealed in the next tweet. Don't peek. Try and see it first.
Which age group needed the vax the least, and so would seek it at lesser rates?
Yes, the young.
Which age group has the largest number of traffic crashes?
Yes, the young.
They have rediscovered the young crash more often.
Here it is again. Amazed they didn't notice this. Theory blinds minds.
The biggest, and most hilarious, fantasy is including PEDESTRIANS & PASSENGERS.
DANGER! Walking while unvaxxed could lead you into a car crash!
DANGER! Do not get into a car as a passenger while unvaxxed! It could lead you into a car crash.
Sigh. Again, the young typically drive with the young, and vice versa. And the young have more, and worse, crashes.
Yet our authors have the cojones to say, "We studied millions of adults and found that COVID vaccine hesitancy was associated with significant increased traffic risks."
This is right before they admit they haven't proved cause. But then they say this -
Risky driving "possibility relates to a distrust of government or belief in freedom that contributes to both vaccination preferences and increased traffic risks."
Astonishingly stupid.
This silly study should show you how easy it is for smart people to go wrong.
They excel at discovering evidence which confirms their theories, but they stink, like the rest of us, at finding contradictory evidence.

Rod Dreher is the soft-middle-right's version of Dr Smith, crying out as he strikes right, in the hopes of winning pats on the head from those who despise him, and use him to attack their own enemies.
How Dreher can't see this by now, in spite of it being pointed out to him -
I'm still unsure what in the panic was more idiotic, lockdowns, in which people go inside, like in winter, to spread germs, or masks, which spread fear and provided false security.
I go with masks because of the sheer idiocy. Consider those locales with indoor mask mandates, but allowed them to be taken off while eating at restaurants and the like.
This is the kind of monumental contradiction that only true Experts can provide.
I well recall masked people avoiding eye contact with the unmasked - because if they looked, they'd get it! People stepped off sidewalks, ran away from unmasked.
Just yesterday, even, I saw lady in glasses, sunglasses over them, mask, and face shield. No gloves, though.
