Anyone that knows of the Light of Kshahrewar is at least somewhat aware that the man is a curator of beauty, both in his designs and how he presents himself. He is careful to express his artistic nature with artfully
gathered and braided golden hair, colorful and well-tailored clothes, and fine-quality jewelry of unique design.
Akademiya juniors and scholars admire him not only for his mastery of his craft, but his ever-graceful conduct and appearance.
Admiring eyes follow #Kaveh wherever he goes, ranging from respectful to downright lecherous.
It would almost be enough to make #Alhaitham jealous.
That is, if that were the image of Kaveh that he coveted.
There were no other eyes, except Alhaitham's, familiar with Kaveh's lion mane, naturally unruly without careful, weekly oils and strict grooming routine. No others who know of its near gravity-defying properties when he wakes, or how it yields to the scribe's calloused fingers.
How could anyone, save for the Akademiya's scribe, guess that Kaveh's face is prone to swelling in sleep on particularly warm nights, with puffy eyelids and blotchy, rosy cheeks requiring cool water and special creams to soothe, along with the occasional, tender press of lips?
And certainly, there wasn't another soul alive privy to Kaveh's skin, free from those elaborate garments; the pale, shiny, gouging scar on a calf that is a pleasant texture when wrapped around Alhaithem's waist. Pale, tiger-stripe stretch marks along broad shoulders and hips from
the cycle of muscle deconditioning and conditioning occurring between Kaveh's less physically demanding projects in Sumeru and hands-on projects of the desert. Scattered pock marks and hyperpigmentation were pleasing focuses only for the scribe's tongue and fingertips to explore.
Alhaitham has the unique pleasure of watching Kaveh stumble around like a uncoordinated kitten in the mornings and drape himself lazily across their lounge chairs like the great jungle cat of his Darshan, all but purring when he presses Alhaitham beneath his weight.
Yes, all considered unbecoming of the unparalleled Kshahrewar scholar admired by colleagues and juniors alike.
But that's fine with Alhaitham, when he gets to keep the image of Kaveh's beautiful imperfection for himself.
(Tldr, Alhaitham simps for Kaveh's frizzy hair, puffy face, and stretch marks)

An outsider would guess that #Alhaitham would have a quiet, reserved omega. An omega who, though well-learned, would be deferential to Alhaitham's preferences and rationale. A traditional partnership of convenience and mutual benefit.
#Kaveh of Kshahrewar was well-learned, but beyond that, he fit none of that.
He was taller than the average omega, with a presence that filled every corner of the room. He was excitable, particularly when he was intrigued by a project or when arguing a point. He was
called stubborn, haughty, bossy, even bitchy, some might say - usually alphas assigned to projects with Kaveh as their superior.
Alhaitham cannot necessarily disagree with those points. But, the truth is, those things are, well, rather attractive to him.
