Reshma was returning from school to her village in the evening. Suddenly there was a thick darkness in the sky, the clouds started quarreling with each other and the lightning started illuminating the darkness of the sky.
Strong winds started blowing and flowers started falling from the branches, the clouds could not stop themselves and started crying with happiness.
Reshma loves rain. She saw that some earthworms had come out of the soil, she picked up one of them and put it in her little box along with the soil. She was collecting it for her vermicompost pit. She also collected some branches with leaves for her only friend.
Upon reaching home, Reshma was shocked to see the courtyard and started shouting - " Papa, my chhanki?"
Chhanki was Reshma's sports partner, she always plays with her except during school hours. Taking her on her shoulder, she takes her around the forest every day.
Before going to school, she ties her to a pole in the courtyard and puts some leaves in front of her. Chhanki waits for her like this.
Her father said that when he saw green swaying leaves near the bungalow of the office of forest department, he left Channki there.
He said, "You finish the food, then go and bring her home."
Reshma's mother passed away when she was 2 years old. Reshma's father took care of her. Reshma's father used to work as a peon in the bungalow of the forest department on the edge of the forest.
There the officers used to come and he would cook food for them. He even had a gun just to protect himself from wild animals in emergency.
Reshma did not even change her clothes and started running with her bag towards the bungalow, shouting - "I will have food after I come back."
A white colored car was standing in front of the bungalow. Rich Government officials had come for a picnic. She was hearing unusual voices from inside the bungalow, Reshma got scared, till yesterday there was only one officer.
Listening to Reshma's voice, whether she is in a bush of thorns or in a forest, Chhanki immediately jumps and comes out crying. Reshma saw Chhanki's rope and said in her mind, the rope is here, then where did Chhanki go? She got distressed and frustrated.
She went behind the Bungalow. The back door was not closed properly, did chanki go inside from here!
Opening the door slowly, she peeped inside.
Unusually horrifying view!
She saw three banana leaves and three big fat demons around it, red blood soaked flesh on top of a banana leaf and a pan of hot oil in the corner of room.
Reshma could not understand anything or may be she didn't want to understand, she was about to close the door, but a fat man came in front of her. Before Reshma could scream, the man closed her mouth with one hand and took her inside with the other.
When Reshma did not return home, her father went to look for her. There was a fear in his mind that some wild animal had eaten Reshma. Reshma was nowhere to be found. He calmed down his mind with a consolation that maybe Reshma must have gone back home by another route.
Then when he went inside the bungalow to cook food, he saw that Chhanki's head was lying in the corner and Reshma's naked body was lying in the middle of the room, drenched in blood.
His mind went numb and something within him impelled him to open fire indiscriminately on the drunk people lying there.
The next morning the news came
"Peon who killed 3 forest department officers and his own daughter, arrested."

A question is always asked to me: how I happen[ed] to take such [a] high degree of education. Another question is being asked: why I am inclined towards Buddhism.
These questions are asked because I was born in a community known in India as the "Untouchables." This preface is not the place for answering the first question. But this preface may be the place for answering the second question.
The concept of Merit has become an important subject of discussion in recent years. It is at the heart of how we envision excellence in education and also of much of the debate on the issue of Reservation. Lets understand the concept of Merit and why we need to redefine it.
A students who tops a given exam is said to have merit and the others do not. The notion that the system rewards talent and hard work encourages the winners to consider their success their own doing or to the extent, a measure of their virtue & to look down upon others.
The opportunity to get such success or acquire such competency, however, is socially constructed. In this way our education system indirectly reproduce existing inequalities.

Harijan was a term used by M.K. Gandhi to refer to the community of Dalits (Untouchables), and it was a well thought out strategy. When Gandhi first began to campaign intensively against Untouchability he used the word "Antyaja" (Last born) in his Gujarati writings.
Gandhi had a weekly newspaper named Young India. In 1933 he renamed this weekly Harijan.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in his book Annihilation of caste mentioned
"Under the rule of the Peshwas, the Untouchable was not allowed to use the public streets if a Hindu was coming along, lest he should pollute the Hindu by his shadow.
The Untouchable was required to have a black thread either on his wrist or around his neck, as a sign or a mark to prevent the Hindus from getting themselves polluted by his touch by mistake.

The Vedas, Upanishads, smritis and puranas, including the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, are the Hindu scriptures. There is no finite list. Every generation has added to the list.

Therefore, that everything printed or even found handwritten is not scripture. The #smritis, for example, contain many things that can never be accepted as a word from God. Thus, many texts which Dr #Ambedkar cites from smritis cannot be considered authentic.

This movie is anti- Adivasi to its core. This film is poorly researched and shifts the blame of poor health of Adivasis to their lifestyle & traditions.
The doctor from the Bhubaneswar removes the superstitions from the Adivasi community.

But ironically, In Odisha rationalist are being attacked by traditionalist for eating chicken Biryani on Solar eclipse.
The doctor from Bhubaneswar doesn't even understand the language of Adivasis after being highly educated.
But the scene was portrayed in such a way that anyone will get the impression that the language of #Adivasis are inferior.
