Celtic have wanted to keep Juranovic and have been in talks over improved terms on a new contract, but neither party could reach an agreement before the #FIFAWorldCup.
It's understood Celtic will sit down with Juranovic again next week, but are braced for bids next month.
Juranovic has been given a week off following #HRV World Cup exit and will be assessed for the injury, which kept him out of their third place play-off win over Morocco on Saturday.
Celtic need to be thinking long-term in their planning now. Next season is going to need a huge rebuild from top to bottom, to sustain prolonged success in the future. With Rangers also in the #UCL, it won’t be good enough to fail to prepare for qualifiers. That money is vital.
If they finish 2nd, Celtic’s qualifiers are likely to be much harder. But it’s not just about next season - the next decade should be looked at. Where do Celtic want to be on a global scale, in footballing terms? If they want to make progress, they need modernising.
Celtic’s model isn’t very modern. Ideally they should have a sporting director and a head coach. Sporting director should deal with all the footballing business matters like transfers etc, instead of the CEO. This end of an era is the perfect time to think/operate differently.
