Good afternoon! Here are the updated afternoon graphics. No significant changes to the forecast, though the Winter Storm Watch for Lake Co. IL was upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning.

We're expecting 2 waves of lake effect snow...

#ILwx #INwx (1/6) Headline: Heavy Lake Effect Snow Tonight-Monday. Key Messages: Bands of intense lake effect snow are expected tonight into Monday. Travel could become difficult to nearly impossible at times during the most intense snow, including during AM commute! A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Lake (IL), Cook, eastern Will, Kankakee, Lake (IN), and Porter counties. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for DuPage, Iroquois, Jasper, Newton, and northern/southern Will counties. What Has Changed: A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Lake County (IL). Next Scheduled Update: Monday, November 10...
1) A band of moderate to locally very heavy snow blasting ashore later this eve. Band is expected to surge well inland across northeast IL and portions of northwest IN, gradually weakening as it gets farther inland from the lake.

2) After perhaps a short lull, a second, more narrow band of intense lake effect snow is expected to begin impacting areas close to the lake in NE IL near or shortly after 12am. We have confirmed an additional 3 tornadoes, bringing the event total to 27. The new tornado
confirmations are: 1. Maple Park (EF-Unknown*), 2. O'Hare Airport (EF-0), and 3. Country Club Hills
(EF-0). The track maps for these 3 tornadoes are below. (2/10)

An EF-Unknown rating was assigned to the Maple Park tornado because it remained entirely in fields, for which no damage indicators/wind speed ratings currently exist. (3/10)
