1/16 An email from my friend @AndWunsch and perhaps one of THE worst cases of statin damage that I have ever encountered. We met on a statins forum many years ago, and Chris is doing all he can to raise awareness of the dangers of Statins. This is his story:

2/16 Oct 10, 2002, after months since the onset of profound headaches, worsening sleepiness (many times more than 17 hours/day) and worsening performance at my day job as a worker's compensation Nurse case manager I was admitted to UW Madison Hospital in an End Stage

4/16 who came to visit. I had an MRI scan of my brain, showing innumerable scattered lesions throughout the white matter of my brain, I had a brain biopsy revealing holes in my brain which the doctors considered a spongiform encephalopathy, (Human variant of Mad Cow Disease),

5/16 Electron Microscopy revealed the holes to be Neuronal Apoptosis (Programmed cell death), as well as Mitochondrial DNA mutation most closely resembling Mitochondrial Encephalomyopathy with Lactic Acidosis and Stroke-Like Episodes (MELAS). The doctors prepared my wife

6/16 and family for my death (at 34 years old !!) until I was evaluated by a visiting professor from Johns Hopkins who started me on a Mitochondrial Cocktail when within 24 hours of my first dose, I began to be able to recognize my wife, and parents,

7/16 I could verbalize the need to use the restroom, was able to answer simple questions, & several days later I was discharged Nov 7 2002, with a diagnosis of "Viral Encephalitis"..I clung to that diagnosis because I knew I’d be back to work in a few months...or so I thought.

8/16 After discharge, my wife and I were watching Good Morning America, Diane Sawyer was interviewing Dr. Beatrice Golomb
of the UCSD, discussing the Statin “side effects” Study she was doing, and my wife asked me to enrol, to which I responded "honey, I was a critical care RN,

9/16 and "knew" everything there was to "know" about Statins, but thankfully due to her persistence, I called the University of California San Diego and enrolled, had my medical records, including Brain & Muscle Biopsies, MRI scans etc sent to UCSD.

10/16 When the study had concluded about 1 year later, I received a phone call from Dr. Golomb who informed me that I was one of several patients in her study with strikingly similar courses of illness, similar biopsy findings, etc and she proceeded to tell me she had referred

11/16 our cases to Dr. Doug Wallace Ph.D. of the UC Irvine (whom she referred to as one of the top experts in mitochondrial Disease, who opined that my use of LIPITOR was the CAUSAL contributor to the Holes in my brain, the mitochondrial Mutations, & the peripheral

12/16 neuropathy. My heart sank as I thought of the hundreds if not thousands of patients I had cared for and unwittingly given these drugs. I fell into a deep depression, & that's when I began to pour every spare moment I had into researching the pathophysiology behind this,

13/16 only to find out we ALL have been suckered into what has undoubtedly become the biggest scam in the history of the world - the Cholesterol theory behind heart disease, hence by constant ranting and raving about the LIES we are continually fed by "pharmaceutical science"

14/16 also known as "Checkbook Science" I told my wife many years ago, that I need to undo the wrongs I did, by doing everything I can to educate as many people as I can about the TRUTH, that Cholesterol DOES not, nor ever did cause heart disease.
