The hyperfocus on carbon emissions as the sole environmental impact indicator has caused delays in addressing other pressing ecological issues.
This narrow narrative, often referred to as Carbon Tunnel Vision, ignores the many other factors that contribute to the health of our planet and its inhabitants.
For example, the emphasis on carbon reduction has focused on plant-based alternatives to animal products, ignoring that holistic animal husbandry practices are humane and regenerative.

Food alternatives will not reverse desertification.
Similarly, the emphasis on carbon capture through tree planting ignores the importance of grassland health and the negative impacts of monoculture tree plantations.
By ignoring these other critical factors, we risk making decisions that do more harm than good in the long run.
It's essential to broaden our perspective and consider the holistic impact of our actions on the environment rather than just focusing on carbon emissions.
Let's move beyond Carbon Tunnel Vision and towards a more comprehensive understanding of #regeneration.
