Canada's situation is far, far worse than the U.S.
The vast majority of newspapers in Canada are owned by PostMedia, a Republican hedge fund run by friends and associates of Trump. It also published, until recently, The National Enquirer. PostMedia has zero interest in uncovering corruption, because it provides cover for it.
