I used to really really hate mr enter but he's honestly just obviously autistic beyond the 'guy who obsesses over cartoons' standard & has been growing a sense of self awareness over time while industry shill accounts just get worse & worse
drove me nuts when he constantly took irony & satire dead seriously (like in the dexter's lab christmas ep that ends with "it's really just about the presents", or the king of the hill americans vs canadians ep) & got mad. but like, that's literally his medical condition
when people go from john k-like views of the industry to corporate cheerleaders that's not a condition it's just them having no principles

"abuhh aduhh it's not related to the main story" I don't care lol the thematic overlap is masterful. the Heartless tearing apart the book even reflects Sora's character development, his childhood innocence being shattered & his entire being split into multiple parts
rules how they reveal there's some Heartless left in Sora not thru exposition but thru a randomized bait&switch that replaces your heroic super form with this. even balanced the game so that the first world you're likely to see it in is Beauty & the Beast!

It's funny that as early as KH2 they had to pretend anyone gave a shit about these CG Disney films
if Disney hadn't gone that route & kept doing 2D, KH3 could've been one of the best most unique looking games ever, upgrading KH2's art style with modern tech; instead they had to shill CG/live action. US monoculture getting worse & harming Japanese media inspired by it yet again
Toy story 1 looked & moved unique cuz no one knew the correct, academic (cliche) way to design, render & animate CG characters yet. as tech & Pixar's use of it improved stuff got blander in both visual acting & design

used to jizz over Pixar as a kid but they rly ain't US ghibli

these aren't really "some script writer saying stupid shit"; they're the result corporate of research into what gives you views & likes. they're miserable millennial anglo anime fan insecurity, over everything that makes anime what it is, perfectly distilled
what it boils down to is "anime should be more like mainstream media", except they barely even know what mainstream media is ("uhhh HBO & Game of Thrones right? that's peak big boy/girl entertainment") and consume it through the same "fandom" pipeline (Breaking Bad headcanons!)
