👀🧵: NEW numbers obtained by Mark Morgan show some shocking facts about the disaster at the border in December.
To start, Border Patrol saw 226,050 apprehensions. That brings the FY23 total to 640,000+ in just three months--200,000 more than FY2020 total. #BidenBorderCrisis
There's more. When you factor in the "inadmissibles," i.e., those encountered at ports of entry (many of whom are also released into the interior), you're looking at around 300,000 encounters in December.
That means we're looking at more than 857,000 total encounters so far this fiscal year. Again, that's in just *90 DAYS*.
At this pace, that's around 3.5 million encounters this fiscal year.
Got-aways for December were between 73,000-87,000, totaling more than 225,000 in 90 days, and on pace for more than 1 million this fiscal year.
And remember, these are typically the worst of the worst who don't want to get caught--gang members, criminals, potential terrorists.
And Border Patrol recorded another 18 dead migrants on U.S. soil. More have died on U.S. soil under Joe Biden than ever before.
It's time for Congress to impeach @SecMayorkas, pass laws to *actually* secure the border, and end this crisis.

🧵🧵: Joe Biden's making a speech today about the border crisis that he, @SecMayorkas, and the open-borders advocates in his administration have caused.
Expecting lots of blame-shifting and dishonesty. Buckle up...
Well that didn't take long. Biden's already blaming Republicans for not passing his "comprehensive immigration reform," which is just code for amnesty.
Biden claims we don't have enough asylum officers. Well that's a circular argument, because millions more people are coming to the border and clogging up the system thanks to Biden's own policies!
The #Omnibus will further dismantle border security and dump gasoline on the dumpster fire that is #BidenBorderCrisis
Here’s how 🧵🔽:
It throws money (to the tune of $234M) at state and local detention facilities to collect alien info and provide it to the feds, even though the administration already prohibits ICE from enforcing laws or cooperating with state and local law enforcement regarding criminal aliens.
It gives $20M to FEMA-Federal Assistance for the Alternatives to Detention Case Management pilot program.
This allows the left to gut actual detention while using the façade of detention without tracking the aliens (and also giving even more money to their NGO friends).
Here are just a few earmarks (a.k.a. your taxpayer dollars set aside for special interests or projects) we found in the 1,455 page spending bill that are funding the left’s extreme agenda using YOUR money 👇
💸 $1.2 million for “LGBTQIA+ Pride Centers”
💸 $1.2 million for "services for DACA recipients” (aka helping illegal aliens with taxpayer funds) at San Diego Community College.
💸 $477k for the Equity Institute in RI to indoctrinate teachers with “antiracism virtual labs.”
💸 $1 million for Zora’s House in Ohio, a “coworking and community space” for “women and gender-expansive people of color.”
💸 $3 million for the American LGBTQ+ Museum in New York City.
💸 $3.6 million for a Michelle Obama Trail in Georgia.
🚨🧵: Republicans are about to surrender the leverage to hold Biden accountable without even putting up a fight.
This week, at least 10 Senate Republicans are expected to join democrats to pass a massive $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill in Congress.
Doing so would undermine one of the GOP’s core campaign promises.
When rolling out the “Commitment to America” in September, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., made government accountability a pillar of the plan.
Republicans promised “rigorous oversight to rein in government abuse of power and corruption, provide real transparency, and require the White House to answer for its incompetence at home and abroad.”
The Biden administration’s radical Department of Education Title IX guidance tied up in federal court, but that's not stopping congressional Democrats from pushing a bill that would codify the administration’s gender ideology agenda. 🧵⤵️
The so-called Students’ Access to Freedom and Educational Rights (SAFER) Act locks the administration’s harmful gender ideology rules into law, while also lowering the standard of proof for sexual assault cases and rewriting decades-old civil rights laws.
This bill is horrible because it rejects biology, threatens important protections for women and girls, and removes critical due process protections for college students.
