Anyway, LQG asks SJ to come to the last game of the season, the championship game. SJ hems and haws, and LQG drops it, disappointed but not willing to argue since SJ looks even more tired than usual.
LQG is in a mopey mood the day of the game, and tanks practice, making his coaches and teammates worry.
He knows he's being immature about this; his parents came to see him, and he and SJ are moving in together after graduation.

Honestly, LQG has always found cheerleaders and their ilk embarrassing, so he's determined to just glower inside the locker room until the game starts. For some reason his asshole teammates drag him out to watch the girls and start whistling and cheering, my god 🙄
He's about to fight his way back through the crowd to sull and hide when he catches glimpse of one of the dancers in their tight little outfits. Only, that's definitely not one of his teammates' girlfriends, but HIS.
LQG watches, mouth agape, as SJ dances with the rest of the cheerleaders in a pretty little blue and outfit that shows off his waist and legs.
LQG is both enraptured and jealous - he's always known SJ was cute under his clothes, but never THIS captivating, and he doesn't like how everyone is drooling at the boy next door turned bombshell all of a sudden when they were all calling him a stingy nerd just yesterday 🔪
But SJ dances to perfection and gives LQG a little wave at the end of the performance.
