Little joys of life!
Soon after the the Supreme Court gave its stay on the #HaldwaniEviction pushed by the UK HC, I have been getting lots of msgs and calls from #haldwani, fellow journalists and people telling me “you've done a great, brave and powerful reporting on Haldwani”
This high praise comes as a responsibility to continue giving voice to the Muslims and most marginalised of the country and speaking truth to power.
But this was not possible without the assistance of residents from #Haldwani who helped me track down the history of the issue +
and lead me to relevant people. And all those people who quickly amplified the story and made it impactful. Add to this, credits where due @Shazography_ who very diligently did the camera with me on ground and Hammad Uz Zafar who very patiently edited the video at latest+
possible time and made it exactly how I wanted it to be.
My work for community concerning the society at large will be continued in all its entirety.
Plugging the story on #Haldwani again for the reference:
However, I cannot derive happiness from covering such stories of human destruction, but the impact and support I've received is overwhelming! Thank you!
