+JMJ+ Welcome to our Twitter Rosary Thread for the Epiphany, the last of the 12 days of Christmas. We’re praying to cultivate a civilization of life & love.
O, Come let us adore Him!
“The Rosary is the ‘weapon’ for these times.”
— Padre Pio
Prayers offered in the opening & closing of our Live Rosary are optional, including the novena prayers. Use as many or as few as you like. Skip around, skip them altogether. Make it yours.

And now a time of reflection in preparation for praying the Rosary.
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
O, Come let us adore Him!
ARISE, be enlightened, O Jerusalem: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and a mist the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
And the Gentiles shall walk in thy light, and kings in the brightness of thy rising.
He comes in splendor, the King who is our peace; he is supreme over all the kings of the earth.
Antiphon, Epiphany
A light has shone through the darkness for the upright of heart; the Lord is gracious, merciful and just.
Antiphon, Epiphany
“…for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth)…”
Ephesians 5:8-9
All the people, whom you have made, will come and worship before you, Lord.
Antiphon, Epiphany
All peoples will be blessed in him, men and women of every race.
— All peoples will be blessed in him, men and women of every race.
All nations will acclaim his glory.
— Men and women of every race.
Three mysteries mark this holy day: today the star leads the Magi to the infant Christ; today water is changed into wine for the wedding feast; today Christ wills to be baptized by John in the river Jordan to bring us salvation.
Antiphon, Epiphany
King of the nations, you called the Magi to adore you as the first representatives of the nations,
— give us a willing spirit of adoration and service.
Save the poor, O Lord.
Lord, your name is blessed for all ages,
— show the wonders of your saving power to our deceased brothers and sisters.
Save the poor, O Lord.
Some intentions follow. Feel free to add your own to the thread, too.
Please pray for priests, bishops, Pope Francis, and for the repose of the soul of the late Pope Benedict XVI, Joseph Ratzinger. May he rest in peace.
From the USCCB: Novena in Memory of Pope Benedict XVI
“The entire Church mourns the death of our Emeritus Holy Father, Benedict XVI."
- For Alan “Please continue your prayers for Alan's schizophrenia illness, there has been a reduction in the psychotic voices that he hears. Thank you.”
- For my B-I-L who has a new medical issue that sounds serious and we won’t know for sure until after Christmas.
- For victims of anti-Christian violence which has passed the “threshold of genocide” in some countries. Read more:
- For all the prayer requests we saw today. Lord, you know who they are. Our hearts go out to all of them, everyone in need, everyone suffering. You know what they need, Divine Physician. In Your mercy, bring them healing, Amen.
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
O, Come let us adore Him!
The Rosary proper begins at the top of the hour. I hope you’ll join me. Add your intentions anywhere along the thread if you are moved to do so. God bless you!
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
O, Come let us adore Him!
Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, you have deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children there the treasures of grace hidden…
(There’s a place in this prayer for your personal prayer intention.)
(For those who don’t believe, we pray…)
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord…
For the Holy Father
Our Father Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us…
For an increase of Faith, Hope, & Charity in our souls & our world
Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
& blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us now
& at the hour of our death.
(Glory be, here and at the end of each decade.)
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
The USCCB has asked us to fast and pray with special intentions for the Rosary. (Originally for May 13th, but I’m keeping it in our Rosary & the one on my blog, too).
O my Jesus,
forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those in most need of Thy Mercy.

A Prayer for Protection in Time of Pandemic
O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope…
The USCCB asked the faithful to add this prayer after the Rosary (by Pope Leo XIII) during the Year of St. Joseph. I’m keeping it here in our Rosary. 🙏🏻

Note: this is not to deny the penitential character of the day or of the season, but because perhaps we could all use some joy, yes? We can meditate on the Joyful Mysteries & still remember our penance. I often cry during the Joyful Mysteries anyway. Do you?
Speaking of meditating, I'll be announcing the winner of the Advent Giveaway 2022 after the Rosary tonight. Not right after it, but about 8pm CT. So stick around, stay tuned, check back for that. :)
