The Federal Government is the Enemy of the American People

THREAD
Most fail to understand how our system of government works. And for the most part, the average American cannot be blamed. The Elite, defined here DC power brokers, Legacy Media, Big Tech, Big Union, Big Pharma) has a vested interest in keeping us ignorant.
Another aspect is that our Republic is a complicated yet sophisticated form of republican government.

A Republic is simply a form of government where power is shared among various type of governance: democracy, oligarchy, senate, and dictatorship.
On its own, each four of the governments listed above are failures. History is fraught with failed democracies, despotic oligarchies, ineffective senates, and tyrannical dictatorships.
The genius of our Founding Fathers (FF) is combining these four different forms of governance into an efficient, stable, and representative republic.
This is the system our FF chose to model our Federal Government on. The States and Local governments are (mostly) democratic: meaning simply that the Popular Vote (PV) is the mechanism in electing politicos.
Since pure democracies are historically unstable, the checks and balances applied at the State and Local governments is competition.

If CA raises taxes too high, residents can simply move to TX. Moving between states is always easier than moving between countries.
If CA continues raising taxes and residents continue to flee, this may trigger a change in policy lest the state become depopulated. Same applies at the local level.

This Freedom of Movement keeps states and local governments competitive.

Not so with the Federal Government.
As a US Citizen, you cannot escape the reach of the Federal Government (FG), so Freedom of Movement is not applicable, unless the individual decides to leave the Nation, a drastic move, more so than moving to an adjacent county or state.
The FG also has no competitor; it is the only government we can have. So the usual mechanisms to keep democracy in check (Freedom of Movement and Competition) do not apply.

So how did the FF decide to put checks and balances for the FG? Via republicanism.
Again, republicanism is the fine mixture of different forms of governance.

This is why the Popular Vote, which is used frequently at the State and Local levels, CANNOT be used as the only form of electing politicians in the Federal Government.
The Founding Fathers (FF) crafted the four main components of the FG on ancient forms of governance: the democracy (House of Representative), the senate (US State), the oligarchy (Supreme Court), and dictatorship (Presidency).
Together, these four types of governance play off each other well. Each one of these are elected in unique fashion:
- The House is elected directly by the People via PV, and often (every two year)
- The Senate was elected (before 17A) by the State Senates
- The Presidency is elected by the Electoral College (EC), a temporary parliament that is elected every four years and whose only function is to elect the Commander in Chief of the United States.

- Supreme Court is nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
Each branch of the FG is elected via unique mechanisms. This is the solution our FF engineering to bring stability to a FG.

On a side note: this is why the 17th Amendment must be repealed. It removed a critical check and balance for the Senate.
The bicameral nature of Congress seems to confuse a lot of people. In simple terms, the House represents the People of the United States. The Senate represents the States of the United States.
All congressional districts are equal, hence why they each get one representative.

By the same measure, each state is equal, regardless of how long (or recently) it joined the Union or how big of a population it has.
Please note that this form of speech (The People and The States) appears all over the Constitution. The Founders understood that each State is unique while also acknowledge that we are all Americans; one People.
This concept (The People and the States) is critical for understanding our Republic and our Federal Government.

The question that arises: why would the Founders bother with a Federal Government at all? Why even have a FG?
As always, we must look at this question from the historical perspective.

The United States was not a powerful, stable country upon its foundation. The center of power was Europe: Spain, France, and the United Kingdom dominated most of the World.

The USA was vulnerable.
The Founders also knew that the States didn't always see eye to eye: the differences were stark. The North had a more industrial, Anglo society. The South was agrarian and dependent on slavery.
The FF knew that if a foreign threat were to emerge, the States themselves could betray each other, dividing the Nation, ripe for European powers to collect the spoils.

A union of states with little or no federal/central oversight is called a "confederation".
A confederation is something many Founders considered: it keeps the States fiercely independent and prevents a federal government from becoming a massive, centralized, and tyrannical.

The downside: confederations offer little (if any) national cohesiveness.
A confederation was not the solution. Hence the formation of the FG by the Founders.

The truth is that our form of Republic worked so well that it sparked republican revolutions all across Europe: Americans discovered the "secret sauce" that makes republics work.
The 1800s saw dozens of republics emerge all across Europe. However, it also saw the demise of most of them.

This is because, while Europeans managed to mimic our Republic, they were always tempted to "improve it".
By "improving it", they ended up breaking it. Americans, particularly on the Left, are constantly trying to "fix" our Republic: getting rid of the Electoral College, making the Senate representative to population, etc.

They're trying to "fix" something they do not understand.
And this is what happened to the vast majority of republics that popped up in Europe (and the Americas as well) during the 19th Century: they "fix it" and ended up ruining it.

By the 20th Century, republics in Europe fell out of fashion and dictatorships became the norm.
The Founders carefully crafted our Federal Government to withstand the test of time. And it has: our Republic is the longest running, modern Republic in World history.
Our Republic is nearing 250 years. The Roman Republic, by comparison, already had several dictatorships by the time it reached 250 years since its foundation.

The "secret sauce" our Founders invented worked, and worked well.
This is not to say that our Republic is perfect: it cannot be b/c is a human endeavor. However, compared to governments of past, it provided its citizens with unparalleled levels of stability.

Stability fosters growth. And the USA saw growth never imagined by its Founders.
And this is why federalism worked over a confederation.

The FG was tasked with two responsibilities: protecting our borders from foreign threats (historically the European powers) and ensuring the States followed the US Constitution (which the South was not via slavery).
This is why the early FG fought the European powers when necessary; fulfilling its first responsibility.

The FG launched the Civil War to enforce the Constitution against States violating it, fulfilling its second responsibility.
However, our federal government, as it stands today, not only refuses to fulfill its two foundational tasks: it openly subverts them.

The Biden Administration has made our Republic vulnerable by opening our Southern border.
This illegitimate organization also infringed on its citizens' First Amendment rights via targeted censorship at a time when we needed it most.

They censored dissenting opinions regarding COVID, its origin, the "vaccine", Hunter Biden's laptop, the illegitimate 2020 election.
The FG is now actively working against its People, against the States, against our Republic. It has inflated our currency, diluted our citizens with illegals, and allowed fentanyl to flood our streets; all to the delight of our enemies.
The people in charge of our federal government are traitors in the most simple definition of the word. Their pursuit of power is exactly what our Founders sought prevent.

This is the downside of federalism.
The president, the vice-president, the head of all executive cabinets, both leaders of the Senate, and the past and current Speakers are traitors to our Republic. They allowed the destruction of our checks and balances for the power lust.
They destroy the Senate in 1913 with the 17A, the same year the FG began taxing our income (via 16A). The FF never allowed federal income taxation since it would grant them too much power.
Our Republic derives its power from the Local and State governments, not from the Federal level down. The IX and X amendments is clear: all power not explicitly delegated to the FG is kept by the People and the States.
Our Republic, as it stands today, does not need a federal government. Our States do a better job at governing than our corrupt and illegitimate FG.
Our FG must be fully dissolved, with the exception of a handful of departments. It must not be able to tax income ever again. For funding, the FG can rely on tariffs, selling federal land, and appropriations by the States as they deem fit.
We do not need a fulltime FG trying to legislate Tide Pods or give taxpayer funds to understand why lesbians are more obese than the general population.

The presidency must be relegated to being a Commander in Chief, not the executive of a vast administrative empire.
The 17A must be repealed to restore the Senate. Congress must become a parttime institution. There are few problems that the States or the private sector cannot solve. The federal government is not needed in our day to day lives.
The federal government is not the ultimate solution: it is the ultimate problem.

We are all living in very comfortable times but it is time the People and the States wake up, acknowledge our enemy, and face it.

This enemy is the Federal Government.

Happy #January6th! 🎆🎇🇺🇸
