If you live in an area with ample democratic representation, I suggest "adopting" a Dem County Committee in a rural area.

Donate to them, like & share their posts, and if you live close, join their events (there's strength in numbers!)

This is my Democratic Committee and we could *really* use some financial support so we can join more local events this year and to save funds for 2024 (events, candidate support, and running a county-wide coordinated campaign)

St Francois County Dems are in the 8th district of Missouri and they did a lot to help the few democratic candidates they had on their ballot in 2022.

Please consider adopting them as a County Cmte to support!

Cape Girardeau Dems have been putting in a lot of effort to increase Dem representation in their county. They've been one of the few counties in the 8th to run a Dem State House candidate every cycle.

Support them so they can make more waves!

The Jefferson County Dems are highly organized and ran SO MANY amazing democrats in 2022 🤩

This past cycle the Dent Dems were SO supportive of my campaign, they hosted events, donated, and they also purchased electronic ads throughout Salem to promote our campaign😊

My Congressman was appointed Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee...

Allow me to show you what 10 years with @RepJasonSmith has done to us.

First, Smith's constituents live under the worst conditions of poverty in the state of Missouri 👇

In Smith's district, the second largest farming district in the state, we suffer from extreme food insecurity... and @RepJasonSmith refers to himself as a farmer 🫤

Smith also voted against lower costs of food and fuel.

We have very few food banks in our very large, very food-insecure, farming district.

Even though 1 in 5 kids in the 8th district faces food insecurity.

I've never heard @RepJasonSmith even mention it.

Think this guy should be in charge of our country's money?

Allow me to take you on a tour of the district that I am running to represent; Missouri's 8th Congressional.

Unfortunately it is a depressing tour, but I believe we need to talk about a problem when we want to make it better.

Missouri's 8th Congressional District covers 28 counties of Southeast Missouri.

2022 redistricting removed Crawford and Washington Counties from the north of the district (added to the 3rd) - noteworthy because their health outcomes are like the 8th, not the 3rd
Poverty rates are higher in the 8th than in any other congressional district; and it's not due to being rural, because the 6th (north MO) doesn't suffer like the 8th does.

Systemic poverty like this is a failure of leadership.
