When i first heard @RepDanCrenshaw call twenty of his Republican colleagues "terrorists', my jaw dropped. While it was definitely a foolish & inflammatory thing to say because they werent knee-jerk votes for McCarthy, it's actually worse than what people are saying.
@BradenLOA put up a video talking about Crenshaw trying to walk it back. I want you to remember, just like Braden points out, that he's talking about members of the freedom caucus standing up for you and me.
Crenshaw and noted serial Liar and Propagandist Jake Tapper of CNN both call it quote "a metaphor' and that it was a 'sensitive thing to say'. That's absolute BULLSHIT and I'm about to tell you why. Braden did a good job of outlining it, but i want to point something out.
See, Dan Crenshaw isn't just an ordinary house member who got elected from a blase ho hum walk of life. Dan is a veteran, a decorated former member of Naval Special Warefare, a SEAL. One of the primary missions of the SEAL community is, COUNTER TERRORISM.
Dan's professional experiences in the Special Operations Community were ENTIRELY during the quote 'Global War On Terror'. He lost an eye in Iraq fighting Al Qaeda and ISIS and other terror groups.
So i want you to understand: Dan Crenshaw is comparing the 20 members of the Freedom Caucus, Americans fighting for what We The People WANT THEM TO, AND TOLD THEM TO, he called them terrorists: the same people he fought in a war.
A ranking member of the Homeland Security Committee whos a former SEAL, who battled ACTUAL terrorists who were known for cutting off innocent peoples' heads & indescriminant bombings, told the world on CNN his colleagues were the same thing.
A REPUBLICAN congressman in charge of oversight of DHS at a time when the Exec branch is hunting, destroying and imprisoning Political Enemies, declared his colleagues to be terrorists and thus legit targets of that political abuse of power.
No, @RepDanCrenshaw it ISNT just a 'turn of phrase' or 'figure of speech'. You knew DAMN WELL what you were saying. You are disgrace, if you have any integrity & honor at all, you'd resign. But you don't & you won't. The people of Texas deserve a lot better, & should primary you
