1./ Courage in Action
I'm so proud of Professor Rob Wintemute, a Trustee of @ALLIANCELGB whom a crowd of over 100 student activists just tried to silence today in Montreal. They broke into the hall, chanted and threw flour over him.
What is Rob's crime?

2./ Rob, a human rights lawyer, had gone to his alma mater, McGill, to explain why gay people felt the need to organise separately from trans people. He's become convinced the two groups have different agendas, which sometimes clash. Women's rights too are being undermined.

3./ He told journalists: I've spent 37 years defending LGB and trans human rights and I'd never associate with any group that "promotes hate." I came to McGill to deliver the message that women have human rights too, but they feel intimidated by trans rights activists."

4./ He added, "I have to thank the protesters for giving me first-hand experience of that intimidation. Probably the majority of women in this country disagree with key transgender demands but they cannot say so because they will be labelled as intolerant."

5./ A letter from a group of trans activists that circulated over the last week protesting the debate said, "McGill University is actively contributing to the genocide of trans people across the world." By having a debate about gay rights? What worries them so much?

6./ What was the gay movement has been taken over and used as a Trojan horse for extreme and damaging policy demands which now shelter under our good name. Take away LGB people and these trans demands are exposed as controversial and lacking in evidence.

7./ Inevitably @CBCNews claimed that @ALLIANCELGB "advocates against transgender rights in the United Kingdom." It doesn't. It defends LGB rights. If you'd like to defend those and free speech why not send a donation. The truth will not be silenced.
