What exactly do we mean by that? Let’s explain in today’s #fromtheArKYVE… 🧵⬇️
2/ 👉 To best understand, we need to address the two main issues this statement is solving: First off, when working with data in the #Web3 space, you can’t always be sure that it’s 100% valid.
3/ 🔌 Then, there’s the issue of data access & retrieval…
As more & more data enters the space, retrieving any specific data becomes increasingly difficult, especially when the pieces are computationally reliant on one another.
4/ 🌐 Making data a public good means making it available for all to benefit.
🤝 For example, if developers have access to trustless, valid data when building, they can avoid major risks inflicted by invalid data, such as hacks or inconsistencies.
5/ KYVE is working to solve these two major roadblocks by providing an entire decentralized network that brings forward truly valid, trustless data & making it easily accessible to the public 💫
6/ 🔮 As mainnet approaches, we are getting closer & closer to achieving our goal of making trustless data a public good for today’s developers, data analysts, engineers, & all else who work with data.
1/ Looking for a truly trustless tech stack for sourcing valid data? Look no further than the KYVE Network Stack, providing:
♾️ Data immutability
✅ Decentralized validation
💻 Customizable implementation
💫 & much more
Let’s break this down 🧵👇
2/ With KYVE’s mission to solve today’s #Web3 data validity & access roadblocks, our team started building special tooling around its data lake...
🛠️ Ultimately creating a tech stack that enables fast & secure Web3 building via a single trustless data platform.
3/ 🌐 Starting with the core of KYVE Network, KYVE…
KYVE is our #Web3 data lake, which can fetch any type of raw, deterministic data, then validate it & store it onto any preferred storage platform in a decentralized way.
🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our newly updated website, Discord server & overall design to best accompany all of the major tech developments KYVE has made thus far!
2/ 💡 Starting out as a bounty project for bridging @Polkadot data onto @ArweaveTeam, our founders quickly saw KYVE’s potential in solving much more than that — in the end, tackling data validity in #Web3 as a whole by making data a public good for trustless Web3 building.
3/ With the evolution of KYVE’s mission & strong development this past year, a refreshing look for KYVE was needed. Starting with a newly updated website featuring:
1/ ⚡️ Many projects in #Web3 aim to gain mainstream adoption by providing faster solutions than in Web2. However, the more speed, the less decentralized.
🤔 Is high performance more important than decentralization? Let’s break this down in today’s #fromtheArKYVE ⤵️
2/ 🌐 To be fully decentralized, a company must distribute its decision power across a network of nodes. These nodes might be across the globe, meaning if a decision needs to be made, it takes time to reach each one & gain a response.
3/ ⚖️ Therefore, fast speeds & security from decentralization don't really go hand in hand, making companies decide which reigns more important for their product.
After all, not everything requires full decentralization…
We’re thrilled to announce this release of new features focusing on improving pool security, protocol node roles, the overall KYVE app user experience, & more!
🌐 5-day delay on commission changes
🌐 Redelegation spell button
🌐 Put in “inactive state” instead of getting kicked out
🌐 Voting power proportional to the amount staked
3/ To increase pool security, a minimum stake amount was added for pools.
Before, a pool could contain nodes with little tokens staked, which made it easy for the pool to get overtaken. Now, a pool can specify a minimum amount of tokens staked in order start to archiving data.
1/ Happy Wednesday KYVE-ers, it’s time for another #fromtheArKYVE!
Being a Web3 data lake, there are an unlimited amount of ways KYVE can help the data world evolve.
That's why today, we’re diving into KYVE’s use cases, as well as what future ones might look like 👀⬇️
2/ The classic KYVE use case is archiving data from L1 & L2 projects. But what does this actually do?
Our protocol opens the doors to numerous, more specific use cases for each role & sector in the blockchain ecosystem. Let's break these down ⤵️
3/ One would be those within blockchain foundations themselves.
By integrating KYVE, network participants can more easily access the on-chain data in order to make overall participation easier. For example nodes can be a lot lighter, not having to store all of the data at once.
1/ The day has come, KYVE-ers! We’re so thrilled to launch @KYVENetwork's incentivized testnet, Mission Korellia! 💥🥳
Strap on that seatbelt, bid adieu to outdated centralized data infrastructure, & step up to the plate because it’s time for Korellia lift-off!
Let’s dive in ⤵️
2/ What exactly is an incentivized testnet?
When a product launches its incentivized testnet, it is launching a period of testing & development, allowing the people building the product to verify how said product will perform in a real-world context.
3/ KYVE’s incentivized testnet will enable our team to test and verify how different aspects of the KYVE Network are functioning and how they can be improved for our community members.
