Today @BJP4TamilNadu conducted a press meeting to clarify to the people of Tamil Nadu how @CMOTamilnadu misled the assembly with half-truths and lies about the Sethu Samudram Project.

Accepting the resolution should not be misconstrued as an acceptance of Alignment 4a. (1/6)
@BJP4TamilNadu stated categorically that we will not let this project proceed under alignment 4a (Destruction of Ram Setu will not be allowed for the execution of this project)

We also questioned why @CMOTamilnadu quotes Hon MoS Thiru @DrJitendraSingh avl out of context. (2/6)
The fact finding team commissioned by our Hon PM Thiru @narendramodi avl is yet to make it's submission on Ram Setu.

And Thiru @DrJitendraSingh avl mentioned in the Parliament that there is some kind of indication, direct or indirect, that those structures have existed. (3/6)

DMK has long been trying to bury their secessionist past, their ideological parent party wanting a separate Dravida Nadu, later a Separate Tamil Nadu.

Instead of the @arivalayam party, the separatists nurtured by them continue to echo this sentiment today. (1/4)
DMK party men, even recently, said that the Dravida Nadu plea was not forgotten and propelled separatist sentiments.

And the same coterie has an issue when our Hon Gov of TN Thiru RN Ravi avl opines that he prefers Tamizhagam over Tamil Nadu. (2/4)
Surprisingly, Tamizhagam is widely used over Tamil Nadu by the @arivalayam party & even by @CMOTamilnadu; but they still have a problem with @rajbhavan_tn avl’s opinion.

Since the Sangam era, Tamil literature has referred to this land mass as both Tamizhagam & Tamil Nadu. (3/4)

தமிழ்நாடு என்பதற்கு பதிலாக தமிழகம் என்பது பொருத்தமாக இருக்கும் என்பது மாண்புமிகு தமிழக ஆளுநரின் கருத்து. அதை திமுகவினர் ஏற்க வேண்டும் என்று ஆளுநர் நிர்பந்திக்கவில்லை.

1956ஆம் ஆண்டு மொழிவாரி மாநில புனரமைவுக்குப் பிறகு திராவிட நாடு கோரிக்கை தனித்தமிழ்நாடு என்று சுருங்கியது. (3/5)
