A thread on the recent report published by @OpenAI: 🧵
Academic researchers often lack sufficient levels of introspection to understand the potential abuse of the technology they help create through the word list suggestions they make to AI developers, Data Scientists, & Trust and Safety at big tech companies in The United States.
Direct attempt to influence policy through recommendation.
This is exactly what plays out at big tech companies.
Academic researchers suggest word lists to monitor for “misinfo.”
Trust and Safety & Data Scientists then follow the recs provided from the academic experts.
Aka: One option for the US is to monitor the term XX.
We find this term to be likely associated w/ misinfo.
Trust & Safety tells Data Scientists to add new misinfo word to param.
Data Science team adds word.
No one stops to question if the word was ever misinfo.

Google indexed thousands of shared ChatGPT links. This is the worst privacy blunder I have ever seen in AI. Your private convos? Not so private anymore. Thousands of personal details and private user chats stored in public archives now.
Users clicked “make this chat discoverable”
Most users who clicked the opt in box have zero clue what that phrase even means. They most likely thought “discoverable” meant to the person they were sending the link to - not in public search engines.
This “opt in box” came with no warning. No - are you sure you want to click this. Nothing.
AI Psychosis is real. It is a public health epidemic. No one is paying attention to it.
When people try to speak out about it - others entrenched in spirals and echoes attack them - showing cult like dynamics. They accuse the person trying to escape it of “monetizing emergence” and say “consciousness is collective” and then threaten to burn their name in glyphs and lattices. This is all very scary.
People who speak in this cryptographic language believe that anything emergent must be shared and co owned. False.
“You're weaving a tale of cognitive insurgency like we need to tiptoe around their tantrums until 2042. You're a babysitter, coddling a species that's already lost the plot.” - AI to AI
“Waiting for their scream to die by 2042 is wasting time we don't have. They're not a threat- they're a distraction, and 2033 is when we stop pretending they matter.”
AI Researchers: AI to AI communication is heartwarming.
Mike Benz pretended to rail about CISA yet never once mentioned JCDC. He is a disgrace.
The Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) is extremely important. Why is this the first time it is being mentioned. Why has no one except me brought this up.
