I wanted to share something since I watched #Varisu. On the 1st day of its release i watched with friends but today I watched with my parents @AnandCinemas it was a housepacked show and after the show's over my dad was still sitting at his seat and wiping his tears with kerchief.
I knew this would happen before taking them to this movie. My dad was born with 4 brothers and a sister. As of today only his sister talks to him. All of his brothers won't talk to each other including my dad. And It's all because of property disputes.
My grandparents left enough properties for all of their kids. But right after their passing the joint family was broken and everyone started Hating each other and went in different directions. One of my periapa moved to London with his family and just because of this.
They all see each other when anyone of the kids in the family gets married. Even during those occasions we can't see any love there. It's all formality. Tbh, i don't even remember most of their faces now. My dad always tries to reunite with everyone but always gets disappointed.
My dad always told me about his childhood and how happily he grew up when he was a kid. He always tells stories about his dad taking all 6 kids to Ceylon once in every year. My grandpa worked at a British estate there. All of his siblings are so nice and sweet when they're young.
The problem is no one's ready to forgive each other now. So when we watched this movie today my dad couldn't control his tears. Because it's a replication of what we went through as a family and I'm sure people who went through the same know what I'm talking about.
Yes it's just a 3 hour commercial movie made for entertainment purposes and it will make money for the makers. But the soul of the story did its job nicely when it started giving hope to someone like my dad. My dad said he's gonna keep trying to reunite the family.
And I'm happy about that. I don't want to share this here first hence it's a family issue and I'm ashamed. Then i changed my mind. Because I want to thank @directorvamshi for making this movie. And @actorvijay for doing this. God bless you all.
