The old Donbas, before integrated with Ukraine, actually stretches into Russia. So there's a part of Donbas that is still Russian. It's the same people w the same ethnicity living on both sides of the Ukraine-Russia border.
-->
"The two Donbas provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk have had de facto autonomy from Kiev for a long time. Going back to czarist times, Donbass has always been a largely autonomous region that socially, politically and economically speaking did not entirely
-->
adapt to any central ruling power.
... After independence in 1991, the factories left and unemployment and other social problems took hold but Donbass largely kept its political autonomy and developed local power structures that essentially made it a state within a state."
-->
Since the early 20th century, mostly Russian people moved to Donbas to find jobs, mainly in heavy industry and coal mining. Donbas grew into a heavily industrialized area that kept its mainly Russian identity, while Luhansk and Donetsk kept most of their independency.
-->
At the time of the Maidan revolution in early 2014 there was an anti-Russian sentiment in Ukraine, and a lot of violent events and attacks against Russians. This was the reason why Russia decided to not risk its military naval base in Sevastopol and annexed Crimea.
-->
After the US backed coup, the anti-Russian sentiment prevailed. The main events that made Luhansk and Donetsk decide for independency were the massacres in Odessa and Mariupol.
It was NOT Russia who influenced or forced LPR and DPR to seek independency.
-->
They wanted to keep their Russian culture, language as well as independency. When Ukrainian mobs approached Luhansk and Donetsk to do the same they've done in other places, they said no. It was the people in Donbas who said no, not a few militarized "Pro-Russian separatists".
In fact, they were nationalists and patriots, fighting to maintain their rights, freedom and independency.
In 7 April 2014 protesters occupied government buildings in the east Ukrainian cities of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv, calling for a referendum on independence.
-->
Porochenko declared the protesters "terrorists" and went in with military force. Ukrainian regained the control of Kharkiv government buildings the next day.
Igor Girkin brought armed mercenaries from Crimea on his own initiative (acc to himself) to protect the protesters.
-->
On 12 April 2014, Girkin lead the occupation of Slowjansk.
But Russia did not give Luhansk and Support until July. (This has also been confirmed by Girkin.)
So you need to realize that the people of Luhansk and Donetsk only acted to protect themselves.
Also: -->
It was NOT Russia who started the Ukraine Civil war. It did not start with Crimea. The annexation of Crimea has NOTHING to do with the events that took place in Donbas. It's a completely separate issue.
BTW, the annexation had was no bloodshed. Not one single shot was fired.
-->
Ukraine let Crimea go, they did nothing to stop it and they have never negotiated to get it back. In fact, they haven't even asked to get it back until 2022.
Whether you agree with Russias actions in 2022 or if you condemn Russia, all of what I've said is still facts.
-->
European & NATO countries have used the Donbas civil war to have something to blame on Russia, so they could have reasons to sanction Russia. The 2014 war was not Russia's fault.
Look up the facts if you don't believe me. Study the time line well. History speaks for itself.
-->
That's all
I will lock this thread to only let people I follow reply in order to keep juvenile NAFO trolls from derailing the comments. But I will try to follow you back if you follow me.

Here's the thread reader version. If you click on my name on top of the thread, you can find many of my threads, as two shorter threads on the Odessa massacre and Mariupol.
Dmitry Medvedev accuses Japanese PM of betraying the memory of victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki:
"Just think about it. The head of the Japanese government, in his humiliating submissive ecstasy speaks hogwash about Russia, betraying the memory of hundreds of thousands
-->
of Japanese nationals, who burned in the nuclear fire of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And Kishida could not care less that the US was the only state who used nuclear weapons. And Kishida’s own homeland was the only victim."
...the Japanese Prime Minister should have "reminded the

US President about that and demand repentance that has not been expressed by the US authorities for this act of war.
But no. Kishida is only a service staff for the Americans. And servants cannot have courage. The Japanese can only be pitied,"
🧵 Speaking about the warmonger Stoltenberg's peace price nomination...
Remember that he became NATO Secretary General in 2014, after the US backed coup in 🇺🇦 and after the civil war broke out. He has been the coordinator of all Ukraine-NATO activity and actions since then.
-->>
You need to realize that, not only has NATO countries spent 8 years building up Ukraine's army (as Merkel admitted). But Stoltenberg made his priority to raise the NATO budget and strengthen NATO in Europe.
-->>
Since Stoltenberg took office in NATO, there has been a big yearly increase of its budget in Europe and has planned a $400 billion increase between 2019-2022. Stoltenberg has called this an unprecedented strengthening of NATO.
-->>
"We have a determined partner in Ukraine that is willing to bear the consequences of war so that we do not have to do so ourselves in the future."
- Condoleezza Rice (form. secretary of state) and Robert Gates (form. secretary of defense) admit time is running out for 🇺🇦
-->
They also admit:
"the country’s economy is in a shambles, millions of its people have fled, its infrastructure is being destroyed, and much of its mineral wealth, industrial capacity and considerable agricultural land are under Russian control."
-->
And that their “military capability and economy are now dependent almost entirely on lifelines from the West”
Rice n Gates want the US and its allies "to urgently provide Ukraine with a dramatic increase in military supplies and capability" so their proxy war can continue.
-->
So the USA admits that they've built and facilitated 46 Ukrainian "peaceful" bio labs "over the last 2 decades", "to improve Ukraine’s biological safety, security, and disease surveillance".
However, they deny any programs for biological and chemical weapons in Ukraine.
-->
But if these labs are "common", ordinary bio labs and "peaceful", how come the USA has:
1. constantly denied them, and 2. ordered all their documents to be destroyed?
-->
In the same statement it is said:
"The United States has been clear since ratifying the CWC in 1997 that it will never under any circumstances develop, produce,... use chemical weapons; engage in any military preparations to use chemical weapons..."
Look at how it's written.
-->
US Official: "Russia could of course end the war tomorrow by pulling out of Ukraine. They show no intention of doing so...So we do not see diplomacy that would lead to an end to the war on just terms,."
The key here is "just".
= must be unconditional surrender by Russia.🙄
-->
Which means the US is not interested in negotiations. They even admit they have never been:
"President Biden has been absolutely clear from the start, EVEN BEFORE THE START OF THE WAR ...that he is not going to pressure or push Zelensky to the negotiating table, ..."
-->
"but rather, he is going to work with Congress and with our allies to put Ukraine in the best possible position on the battlefield so that when the time is ripe, they are in the best possible position at the negotiating table,"
I need to split this thread into several different threads. It's just too much to sum down in a condensed manner. There are THOUSANDS of accusations and lawsuits against the UK military alone.
So let's start with the USA:
1/
Let me start off by saying that we are not talking about a few errors or mistake, but SYSTEMATIC warcrimes. NATO says that they try to minimise civilian casualties. But the way of organising the attacks and instructing the personnel tells a different story. Let me explain:
2/
Coalition forces routinely searched houses, in pursuit of insurgent fighters and weapons caches breaking into houses by shooting door locks, placing a bomb or hand grenade outside the door, or battering down front walls with military vehicles without any concern for civillians
3/
