I’m in Davos, & I gotta say, I’m a bit let down. As Bond villain locales go, it’s a bit…ordinary. Indeed, Davos is like any of a number of ski villages you find scattered throughout the Alps & Pyrenees.
The conference itself is like…
2/9
…a secular version of the Southern Baptist Convention which, come to think of it, is kinda secular these days, too: people sporting their swag; coffee shops—not that there really are any—full of enthusiasts trying to impress each other with who they are or with whom they…
3/9
…are associated; & selfies galore. To be honest, it’s exactly the kind of thing I hate, & that’s before we get to my ideological objections to the WEF.
Oh, if you want to be an insider, it’s “wef,” not W.E.F. On German lips it comes out like the interjection “Humph!”
4/9
Now you can impress the globalists at your next soirée: “When I attended the wef,” you’ll say as you swirl wine around in your glass fashionably. (I’m here all day, people, to provide you with these keen cultural insights. Costs you nothing. You’re welcome.)
The SBC …
5/9
…comparison works on several levels, & that’s because the wef is a semi-religious experience for attendees.
On the one hand, seeing it in person I immediately realized why the John Kerrys & Gretchen Whitmers & the like want to come here. It’s the Oscars for politicians….
6/9
Here they are celebrities. Rock stars. Unpopular at home, they take the global(ist) stage abroad where they are worshipped by wef groupies. They give speeches where attendees pay handsomely ($26,000 as I recall) to hear them & hang on their every word. It’s like a drug …
7/9
…to politicians who simply need the constant approbation of a worshipful retinue.
On the other hand, ordinary attendees are here to worship the pantheon of modern secular utopia who they see as luminaries giving hope to humanity.
And, yet, that’s not quite accurate….
8/9
These people care little for humanity. Like Dostoevsky wrote, they love man in general, just not individually. “Sustainability” is the buzz word ready on the tongue of every globalist. (Be sure to drop that word at your soirée, too.) Environmental sustainability….
9/9
Population sustainability. Resource sustainability.
“It’s 50% bullsh*t,” said one wef attendee to me minutes ago over coffee. & yet, he related to me his conviction that we must reduce the global population. He believes the main bullsh*t article of this secular faith….
10/10
These are my first impressions of Davos & the “wef.” It’s their Jerusalem, Mecca, climb to a Tibetan monastery for a religious experience, but with swag & with enough Mercedes’ to make a Saudi prince blush.
More later. A woman wants to talk to me now. Hmm.
Peace out.

As noted before, @NoorBinLadin is covering the policy side of the WEF. Follow her. My focus is on the Big Ideas driving the Forum & the attendees. I want you to understand who they are, what they think, why they are here, & why …

… why they are dangerous.
(As an aside, Steve Bannon interviewed both Noor & I yesterday on War Room.👇)
Yesterday, as Noor penetrated the inner sanctum of this sh*t show, I milled about among attendees, masquerading as one of them. As a … rumble.com/v264yzs-the-os…

Among attendees, there is an unmistakable air of self-importance. A young Asian woman asked to sit…
WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM UPDATE 9: DAVOS STRIKES BACK!
Good morning from Davos!
By the time most in America read this, I’ll be on my way to Zürich.
Well, we’ve been noticed! Last night Twitter sent me this notification of a formal complaint against my tweeting:
2/4
This marks the second time such a complaint against me has come from Germany, & I’m grateful Twitter ruled in my favor both times.
Here is the offending tweet. It is based on my extensive research on Ukraine, the orphanage system & child trafficking there, & my many
3/4
experiences in that awful country. (No, I’m not pro-Putin. Both countries are deeply corrupt. There are no good guy here, I assure you. Spare me your Ukraine flags.)
If my dangerous little book interests you, you can by it here:
Let me remind you of my strategy for tackling the WEF:
50+ heads of state are here
116 billionaires
600+ CEOs
2,700 attendees
Loads of journos are covering the first three and the big sessions where they speak.
You don’t …
2/10
…need me to cover that. @NoorBinLadin is doing them admirably. We both did Steve Bannon’s show today, & I can add nothing to her excellent coverage of proposed policies.
My focus is the composition of those 2,700. Who are they? So, I mill about striking up conversations.
3/10
Two in particular stand out:
The first was a thirtysomething specialist in A.I. A minor presenter at the WEF, he develops AI and consults with gov’ts & security execs on its usage.
At the beginning of our convo, he spoke with the enthusiasm characteristic of young …
I have finally arrived at my hotel near Davos after a full day of train travel from Rome.
Italy is a corrupt socialist mess. And yet, I love Rome. Always have. I love Italians. In terms of food, fashion, friendliness, …

…& artistic beauty, going from Rome to any German-speaking country is like going from the beach to the dentist’s chair for a root canal.
Switzerland’s natural beauty is, of course, breathtaking. But Klaus Schwab isn’t Swiss even if the WEF’s HQ is here. He’s German….

Born in Ravensburg in 1938, he is the son of a German industrialist who collaborated with the Nazi regime.
I keep seeing people say Schwab is a Nazi. I don’t agree. But I do think he’s a fascist. While all Nazis were fascists, not all fascists are Nazis. And Klaus appears…
WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM UPDATE 5: PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES
It’s just after 7 am here (CT +6) and I’m grabbing some coffee and a baguette before catching the train north from Rome. My route today for those interested:
Rome —> Milan —> Zürich —> Davos
All trains.

Davos is a Swiss Alpine ski resort city with a population of ~10,000. It’s a terrible place for a conference because it’s very difficult for ordinary people to get there. It is, however, exactly the kind of place you’d expect a group of Bond villains to gather. But there…

…is no grappling hook in my watch or Bond girls on this trip. Not even a Walter, & that can come in handy in a Europe plagued by Islamic terrorism.
There are no major airports nearby. Due to its mountainous nature, automobile travel can be iffy. It’s not a major rail …
