I mean I don’t know who you are so I can’t say yes or no but I can say that when people annoy me on Twitter I just mute them so it’s fine, do whatever
We had bisexuals on TV more than 20 years ago? The only examples coming to mind are some awful SATC eps, unforch.
I don’t like things that are fun
In all seriousness the only music festival I’ve ever been to was Lilith Fair 1999; it’s the kind of thing I can enjoy with the right people but it’s not my bag. Have fun tho!
I am always asking people to option my life rights so… I mean for the right price/right people, yes absolutely
I nuked it from the internet at a time when that was still possible.
I still have it but now it’s just for me.
I mean it depends on who it is and what the deal is. If it’s someone I interact with (or even better are mutuals with), it’s possible. If it’s some total rando? Very low.
B) I mean I have, but it usually requires someone to invite me to do an event; it’s not something I’m actively organizing right now (esp since the book is 4!). But if I do an event you can ask me to sign my book.

Whenever someone is trying to justify, say, repeatedly hiring cis writers to cover trans topics I always flash back to that scene in Bamboozled about the absence of Black writers and Damon Wayans says, "Maybe they couldn't put down their crack pipes long enough to apply."
When marginalized folks aren't in the room, it's always positioned as being due to their own lack of motivation and talent rather than being about STRUCTURAL BARRIERS AND BIAS that keep them out of the room.
There are enough accomplished, *award winning* trans journalists out there that actively refusing to hire them to cover trans-related topics comes off as spite at this point
It’s actually not for people who don’t have OCD or ADHD to give blanket permission for people to co-opt those terms! I get the point being made here, but stay in your lane!
The reason that I, a person with OCD, mind when people say they are “a little OCD” is because it is *never* due to an actual understanding of the disorder and always rooted in a “gosh I’m just so neat and hate unread mentions” understanding of OCD that contributes to misinfo!
The only time I ever remember seeing a trans byline on an NYT story about trans people was that NYT Magazine piece about phalloplasty, which is pretty telling!
As someone who used to be a sex educator who worked with teens the question of schools allowing teens to socially transition without notifying parents is such a no brainer for me. Teens deserve space to figure themselves out! Teens deserve privacy!
I’m sorry but “if you talk about minor violations as sexual assault you’re obstructing people from preventing *real* rape” does not make sense
Mostly feels like a way to stop people from talking about feeling violated and disrespected
But the thing is if you flag low level offenses as bad and harmful you help people get out of bad situations before they escalate to something “real,” that’s literally the whole thing with “red flags”
I think a lot of people who think they want to be in a relationship *actually* just want to have the social validation of winning at life.
Like do you want a *relationship* — an intimate connection with another person who you are constantly communicating with and working to build trust and care with — or do you want pictures for the ‘gram?
A *lot* of my “I want a boyfriend” era was me wanting a cheering squad, a back up bank account, and the social validation you get from having successfully partnered
