Searchers often ask me what tools they should use for their search. There are a lot of amazing tools out there for you to use, but some that really helped me on my search are....
jimsteinsharpe.com (@jimsteinsharpe)

Jim is the OG of search. He has diligently documented every facet of the search on his blog and is the most entrepreneur friendly guy out there.
@ReplyAppTeam

This was my outbound email tool. They do a really nice job and have grown the features substantially since I used it.

Make sure you setup your email server correctly, with DKIM and DMARC settings correctly (they can also help you with that).
@joinHandshake

This was how I sourced interns to help me build lead lists. Getting setup and approved by colleges can be tedious, but it seemed to draw good candidates.
@google Workplace of course, but the secret app in the suite is Google Groups and Google Voice.

Use Groups to create email aliases that you can use (all free) so you can keep your inbox clean.

Use Voice so that you're not giving tons of random folks your personal cell
@oaklibrary or your local / university library.

They have so many FREE resources. I found an incredible database that had not just companies, but executive names AND their emails.
@atozdatabases

This was via the @oaklibrary and was absolutely HUGE for me. Robust data, great filters and search, executive emails and contact information, competitors, and more.
mail-tester.com

This is a great way to verify the health of your email server and domain. Monitor it closely because if you end up in the #spam filter, you're basically dead.
@EmailHunter

This helped identify email conventions that companies used most regularly. Use that to guess if you're struggling finding an owner's email.
mailtester.com

This site has changed since I used it. It used to be a web 1.0 tool to do email server test ping and let you know if it worked, got blocked, or was invalid.

Lots of tools out there that do this now natively (including @ReplyAppTeam )
I didn't do it at the time, but if you have budget, use a tool like @drewsanocki 's @getpostpilot

Use it to send letters to owners as a way to differentiate yourself, at scale.

Everyone is in the inbox and DMs - don't forget the mailbox. Especially given the demo recipient.
As like all operators, I got tired of repeating myself on this stuff, so I built a #nocode app where folks could submit and up/down vote on tools they use.

Go to searchertools.com to take a look and contribute.
It's easier than every to search. So many tools abound and are really, REALLY affordable. You don't have any excuse., other than whatever BS reason you're giving yourself to avoid the fact that it's just flat scary to do this.

But it's worth it.

Go. For. It.
That's a wrap!
