Live tweeting as I read this. On page 1 and reading the definitions, and like, these are the same people who call *us* snowflakes?

It's stunning how anti-evidence-based this entire document is. They want to outlaw the use of social-science as much as anything else.

So now on to the racist parts: #SB42 would outlaw the teaching "about The 1619 Project", CRT. and "any divisive concepts" or "any successor concepts or theories substantially similar to the 1619 Project or CRT."

Now we're getting a whole mandates "Grand American Experiment" history curriculum for Missouri schools... Speaking of Missouri schools, did you know that close to 1/3 of all MO school districts have now gone to a 4day week because they're so underfunded?

This doesn't sound dystopian at all, right?

Under #SB42, if Missouri school districts don't teach a racist, sexist, white-washed version of American history, "such district shall have fifty percent of its state aid...withheld" #OmnibusBillOfHate

The demands that the #OmnibusBillOfHate places on our already underfunded schools (49th and 50th in funding/teacher pay) are *insane*. They'd take so many hours away from actually educating kids, and shift them into ridiculous (and authoritarian) public-notification compliance.

#SB42 allows *any* resident of a school district to file a lawsuit demanding compliance with its awful, racist, bigoted, homophobic requirements. #OmnibusBillOfHate

Meanwhile, the "Parents Bill of Rights" section reads quite as you would expect...as mostly a guaranteeing of "the Right to be a bully" #SB42 #OmnibusBillOfHate

Missouri's #OmnibusBillOfHate ends by bullying exactly who you expect: trans girls. Because if there's any group of kids that our legislature loves to harm the most, it is trans girls. It's hard not to hate these people. #ProtectTransKids #SB42
