The Atlanta uprising, #StopCopCity, #DefendAtlantaForests is sparking international solidarity and revolt. In the so-called United States, police attempt excessive repression as we inch into a Summer of Rage. How do we prepare? 🧵
One of the first ways to defend yourself is removing your digital fingerprint. You can use this anti-doxxing guide to protect yourself & others before things ever get spicy. Make yourself digitally anonymous to everyone except who needs to know.
Second, even the most tame solidarity protest will be taken seriously. You must equipt yourself with political anonymity to protect yourself & others. Keep yourself covered, obscured and protected when you go out.
Third, your chances of success & retention increase exponentially when you work with others. That can also be scary & uncertain. You can use a security culture as a set of agreements to control your own risks on your own terms.
Fourth, find out what Direct Action is, and how to best determine what actions reflect your goals. To learn more about direct action, we recommend this video by @submedia.
Five, you should be focusing your efforts on sustained activity. Our efforts do not exist inside a vacuum. When pursuing localized revolt, it is best to build a team of trustworthy people who share our vision and goals.
The police are attempting a heavy handed response in order to quell the unrest and revolt that they themselves have created. They are smothering a flame by throwing gasoline. Prepare yourself as best you can for the road ahead.
History proves that illegalizing protest does not stop protest. If the repercussions for peaceful protest is murder, then you better make your protest count.
1.Build rapport with others. Providing non/transactional work to projects outside of your own, spending quality time building relationships & being available to others creates channels of consistency & trust.
2. Vet your prospects. Not everyone shares your interest & character. Getting to know others is essential in placing helpers where they fit, even if that isn’t with you.
3.Focus your work. Pick one or three things you want to accomplish and do them really well. A full plate means distracted work and often causes failures in multiple project zones.
Tonight, we will be posting some highlights from one of the many essays we carry. “Ur-Fascism” or “Eternal Fascism” by Umberto Eco (1995) on growing up under Italian fascism & then liberated Italy.
We will be reflecting important points from this essay.
The essay opens up on the influence Fascism held over Eco’s young life & schooling. Warfare and bullets were as common as dodging traffic on your way home from school, and collecting on the casings proved lucrative. The Partisan’s win in Milan (1945) changed everything he knew.
“In May we heard that the war was over. Peace gave me a curious sensation. I had been told that permanent warfare was the normal… I saw the first photographs of the Holocaust, thus understanding the meaning before knowing the word. I realized what we were liberated from…”
There is an ironic contradiction about #Elon’s Twitter report system that explains itself into a loop. Where reporting small accounts for #transphobia results in suspensions but reporting #/AndyNgo & #/LoTT for the same yields no results. Why this intentionality?
As what was exposed in #Elons#TwitterFiles leaks, #/LoTT received special considerations for their reports. An arrangement was made to not act on these reports before first speaking with members of the Board. This played a crucial role in #/LoTT success & growth.
It is not an accident that Queer community members have the “power” to object nebulous transphobes online while leading mouthpieces of the transphobe movement receive protection from #TwitterInc.
That short act makes us feel it isn’t tolerated, when exceptionally it’s protected.

We’ve gotten updated equipment, bags, talkies, gloves and more thanks to your support. We’ve updated our medic kits & emergency response supplies. We’ve done security once this month and followed leads on fascist activity with updates coming soon.
All week, we’ve worked with Queer groups in Northern California, organizing, picking up and delivering resources.
Ponchos, snacks, meals, waters, beanies, gloves, blankets, tarps, and more has been delivered to pantries and camps from Natomas to South Sac thanks to your help.
Queer militancy has never been an option, but forced upon our communities as a result of oppositional social & institutional forces which have organized to see us dead.
As such, we are required to perfect our militancy and train with each other in our fight for #QueerLiberation.
We must be meeting, training & practicing continually & proactively to defend against the fascist menace. If they are dangerous, we are required to be more so. If they are equipped, we must be more so.
You are in this fight, and where you are, we fight with you.
When you fight together, eat together, love together and learn together, you can become a revolutionary force inside your community that’s very presence halts the fascist advance and inspires others.
It’s okay to target low-tier fash. Its okay to bully & harass fash who aren’t connected to bigger groups. It is actually good to belittle small-fish fascists.
They provide excellent target practice to train against before confronting high-tier fash and they’re just as fashy.
Large target fascists have a platform, a formation, supporters and followers. It’s okay to sus out their followers and supporters. It’s good to actively make fascists afraid to come outside. The difference is power. Don’t wait for that fascist to build any power, disrupt it.
If a fascist builds a power base under or around themself, they become better trained, skilled and protected. Don’t let them build a power base. Defeat their confidence at every turn. Make them feel unwanted, unwelcome. Be rude, play dirty. Don’t let small fash off the hook.
