Tips for effective organizing. 🧵

1.Build rapport with others. Providing non/transactional work to projects outside of your own, spending quality time building relationships & being available to others creates channels of consistency & trust. 2. Vet your prospects. Not everyone shares your interest & character. Getting to know others is essential in placing helpers where they fit, even if that isn’t with you.

Tonight, we will be posting some highlights from one of the many essays we carry. “Ur-Fascism” or “Eternal Fascism” by Umberto Eco (1995) on growing up under Italian fascism & then liberated Italy.

We will be reflecting important points from this essay.

Warfare and bullets were as common as dodging traffic on your way home from school, and collecting on the casings proved lucrative. The Partisan’s win in Milan (1945) changed everything he knew.

There is an ironic contradiction about #Elon’s Twitter report system that explains itself into a loop. Where reporting small accounts for #transphobia results in suspensions but reporting #/AndyNgo & #/LoTT for the same yields no results. Why this intentionality? As what was exposed in #Elons #TwitterFiles leaks, #/LoTT received special considerations for their reports. An arrangement was made to not act on these reports before first speaking with members of the Board. This played a crucial role in #/LoTT success & growth.

Queer militancy has never been an option, but forced upon our communities as a result of oppositional social & institutional forces which have organized to see us dead.

As such, we are required to perfect our militancy and train with each other in our fight for #QueerLiberation. We must be meeting, training & practicing continually & proactively to defend against the fascist menace. If they are dangerous, we are required to be more so. If they are equipped, we must be more so.

You are in this fight, and where you are, we fight with you.

It’s okay to target low-tier fash. Its okay to bully & harass fash who aren’t connected to bigger groups. It is actually good to belittle small-fish fascists.

They provide excellent target practice to train against before confronting high-tier fash and they’re just as fashy. Large target fascists have a platform, a formation, supporters and followers. It’s okay to sus out their followers and supporters. It’s good to actively make fascists afraid to come outside. The difference is power. Don’t wait for that fascist to build any power, disrupt it.

We are getting news of a string of attacks on power stations in North Carolina that were shot out in a string of attacks, which disrupted power to over 40,000 people.

Patriot communities are soft-claiming this attack as an effective tool to shut down drag events. 🧵 This is breaking, so at this time, we have no confirmed information about Right Wing combatants having taken involvement in what the Sheriffs department calls “vandalism” of these power stations. However, there has been a deliberate response by the right to claim this attack.

Police were organized.
Patriot Front were organized.
WLM Ohio was organized.
III% were organized.

Do not show up to combat this without a team, a plan and contingencies. They are determined to mean you harm, and that have plans to inflict that goal. You must be organized.

Quit trusting “autonomous individuals” or “showing up for showing up” sake to these things. You need a team and an action plan on small ways you can chip away at their forces. You need several teams coordinating together on how to cut out big sections of their divisions.

QUEER PEOPLE who are training against the fascist threat, hear this: 🏴 🚩

A formation that exclusively trains is as no good as a book club which exclusively reads. While both are great for the individual, theory without praxis are unhealthy habits for the collective. This is not a mark against training, in fact, that is always the first start! Always read, reading is good for you! But do not fall into the trapping that by simply exercising yourself, that you are employing it over the world around you & acting effectively by doing so.

🧵 Stop doing things the way we’ve been doing it. Stop using the same tools and repeating the same tactics. Put simply, stop fighting with ineffective weapons.
