tw// hospital, accident, amnesia, bombs

When Taehyung opens his eyes, the first thing he registers is the white ceiling. Image
Then he registers the wires attached to his hands, the beeping sound of the heart monitor and the immense pain he was feeling in his head.
He panics as he tries to sit up, confused as to why he was strapped to a bed in the hospital room.

He trashed in his bed, trying to remove the wires when he registered someone entering the room in a rush.
He looks in the direction to find a man standing there, his face showcasing fear and satisfaction at the same time.

"Tae, you woke up? Are you ok?"the boy asks while approaching him; his voice shakes while he touches Taehyung's arms slightly.
Taehyung flinched, furrowing his eyebrows, looking confused.

"Who are you sir? And what am I doing here? And where is Jeongguk? He was with me a few moments back." He asks, his heart beating rapidly in his chest.
The man's eyes enlarged in shock. He looked at Taehyung, completely taken aback by the questions.

"Tae, what are you talking about? I'm Jimin. And Jeongguk? What about him?" The man tries to reason.
"Sir, I do not know who you are. Please let me see my Jeongguk, he was there with me just a few minutes back", Taehyung pleads, his whole body shaking on the bed, as he pulls at the channels.
Jimin stumbled backwards in bewilderment. Was this not a silly joke? Had Taehyung actually lost his memory?

He ran outside the room, calling for the nurse.
The nurse rushed inside the hospital chamber, and on finding Taehyung thrashing about on the bed, she quickly held him down, coaxed him to make him tame and injected the sedative in his arm, unnoticed.
Jimin watches everything from the glass window on the door.

His face, now stained with tears, his whole being in shock.

He felt the first crack in his heart, as he watched Taehyung eventually stop trashing, slowly closing his eyes, slipping into unconsciousness.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
Next when Taehyung woke up, the clock showed that it was nine in the morning.

He was still strapped to the bed, connected to the wires and the beeping heart machine.
The door opened, revealing a man in a white coat, the doctor.

Taehyung looks at the man unfazed as he nears his bed with a file and a pen in his hand and a smile on his face.
“Good morning, Taehyung! I’m Dr. Kim Seokjin. Last night, I was the one who did your operation. How are you feeling now?”, he asks, while checking the vitals.

Taehyung hums with his eyes closed, “I’m good.”
“That’s perfect. I will just ask you a few basic questions, just answer me whatever you can ok?”
Taehyung nods.

“Full name?”
“Kim Taehyung.”

“Age?”
“25 years.”
Seokjin stops for a moment. His face held a stern yet bewildering expression.

He hums, while putting a tick mark on the report beside his age, which says that the man was 35 years old.
“What year are we in, Taehyung?”
Taehyung looks at Seokjin, his face holding a look of confusion and obviousness. And then he replies,

“2013.”
Seokjin doesn’t say anything. He just looked at Taehyung with a smile, a pitiful smile, sympathising with the man who had no idea that he had lost all his memories the night before.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
“Has Taehyung been in an accident or serious trauma before this?” Jin asks Jimin, who was now sitting in front of him in his office with his hands in his head.
He closes his eyes and sighs, while nodding his head.

“Yes, 10 years ago he had an accident here, in London. After that, he came back to London for the first time, as of now.

He hasn’t been here for all these years.”
Seokjin hums while pursing his lips. He nods his head at Jimin’s statement and says, “That explains it. You see Jimin, Taehyung is suffering from retrograde amnesia.

His brain has regressed ten years, and now, his memory is stuck in 2013.”
Jimin was confused. He couldn’t understand the situation. He himself was in shock, tired and afraid.

He was afraid, seeing Taehyung, the man he felt so much for, not remembering him, not remembering his own self, his job, position, his identity.
Seokjin stands up from his chair and walks around the table, towards Jimin, as he tries to make him understand the scenario.
“This accident has regressed his memory to the previous accident.

He remembers everything up until the previous accident. But after that, I am afraid he remembers nothing.
“But he will become okay, won’t he?”, Jimin asks in his small strained voice, looking at the doctor with teary hopeful eyes.

Seokjin bites his lips and sighs.
“In cases like this, it’s impossible to say anything exactly.

Some patients regain their memory in a day, for some, it might take years and for some, it never comes back.”
After a moment of silence, Jimin speaks again. “So, what now? What can we do now, doctor? I cannot see him like this, please.” He pleads.

Seokjin puts his hand on Jimin's shoulder in reassurance.
“Firstly, we have to bring in people he knew, the people he trusted.

And when he is with people he trusts, there’s a high chance that his shock and trauma will both lessen.

And then, we might be able to bring him back.”
He picks up a file from his desk and gives it to Jimin.

“These are some names, addresses and numbers that Taehyung has given.

I don’t know if these are still valid. But Jimin, please try to find as many as possible. It will help.”
Jimin looks through the paper with keen attention when Seokjin puts his finger on one particular name.

“The most important is this boy, Jeongguk. Taehyung’s been asking for him since yesterday.”
And that’s how, Jimin sees that name again, that same name which he had seen in Taehyung’s pocket diary while they were at the training camp. The same name which brought a forlorn look on man’s face,
the same name, which Taehyung hated and at the same time, loved the most in this whole universe.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
Jimin entered Taehyung’s room while he was sleeping. He sat down on a chair in front of him, looking at the man’s face, who lay unconscious in front of him, sedated because of the medicine.
Jimin didn’t feel it when his eyes teared up, or when he felt the dull ache in his heart when he touched Taeyung’s face gently with his soft hands.
“Mr. Soldier, was it really necessary to do so much drama, just to forget me?”, he asks the sleeping man, taunts his friend in his sleep.
“But now you listen. Do whatever the fuck you want to do Tae, Jimin won’t let you forget him that easily.

I’m going to bring your Juliet, Mr. Romeo. Just don’t forget your best friend when he comes back.”
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
On reaching the addressed mansion, the first thing Jimin notices are the balloons.

The whole area was decorated with balloons and ribbons, clearly indicating that a birthday party was going on.
People were entering with their kids holding gifts.

And the decoration gave away the vibe that it was some kid’s birthday.

Jimin steadied his heartbeat; he adjusted his backpacks and entered the mansion.
He followed the people which led him to the back garden. Everything was so shiny.

The whole place was decorated in multicoloured ribbons and balloons.
The tables and chairs were set, people were scattered everywhere.

There was a centre stage, with a huge cake, and different food stalls here and there.

Music was playing in the background and so many kids were running, playing games, and having fun.
Jimin walked past all these commotion.

He was looking everywhere, in hopes of finding this man, Jeongguk.

He had seen his picture before, in Taehyung’s diary.
He just hoped to find this person as soon as possible. He moved his head when he heard an airy laughter coming from his right.

And that’s when he saw him, the man, Jeongguk.
He was jumping with a girl, probably the birthday girl.

And Jimin understood that Taehyung didn’t lie when he said that Jeongguk was the most beautiful man he had ever seen in his life.

He was glowing while he smiled; playing with the kids, having fun, and Jimin was struck.
“Honey, look at the camera”, Jimin heard someone say. Jeongguk picked the girl up in his arms, and looked at the said man with the camera and smiled.
“You look beautiful!” the man exclaimed as he clicked pictures of Jeongguk with the girl.

Jimin scrunched his eyebrows, understanding that Jeongguk might have moved on, married another man, and this was his family now.
And just like that, he started feeling suffocated.

Suffocated because he knew that Taehyung hadn’t moved on after all these years, that Taehyung had stayed loyal to his heart, to his love for this man.
Jimin couldn’t find it in his heart to talk to Jeongguk, to tell him about Taehyung who he might not even remember at all.

So he turns around, and walks away, leaving the party and the people celebrating.
But that didn’t mean that Jimin would stop. He would go to hell and then come back if it took him to do it for Taehyung’s sake.

But right now, he needed to clear his head and find the courage to go up and talk to Jeongguk, and persuade him to go with Jimin to meet Taehyung.
And Just like that, the very next day, Jiminn was sitting at the waiting area of Jeon corps., bracing himself, hoping to meet Jeongguk and talk to him.

He was looking at his watch when he saw Jeongguk enter the building, dressed up in his suit like a proper business man.
He walked past Jimin while scrolling through his phone.

Jimin stood up abruptly and walked fast behind him, hoping to catch up.
“Jeongguk!”, he shouts, making the man stop in his path.
Jeongguk turned around, looking at Jimin. “Yes?”

I need to talk to you”, Jimin said in his strained voice, shifting from one foot to another.

“I’m really sorry I… I can’t seem to place you”, Jeongguk says, his voice laced with confusion.
“No…yeah…I mean, we’ve never met before…I’m Jimin…I just…just need a few minutes”, Jimin fumbles, sounding desperate.

Jeongguk gives him a confused smile.
He looks at his watch and looks back at Jimin, and then says in a pleading tone, “I’m sorry,

I’m extremely late for a meeting, but would you mind making an appointment with my assistant? I’m really sorry.”
He then turns around and starts walking faster towards the lift. Jimin didn’t have time.

He knew that he would have to do everything quickly, that now was not the time to fumble to become nervous.
So he runs behind Jeongguk in a haste and practically shouts, “It’s about Taehyung!”

The glass doors of the lift closed as it moved upwards. But Jeongguk didn’t move. He stayed standing there like a statue, as if time had stopped it's ticking.
He turned around, looking back at Jimin with his lips parted, eyes enlarged in shock. He brought the ringing phone to his ear, all while looking at Jimin without a blink of an eye.

“Cancel today’s meeting. I have more important work to do.”
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
Now they were sitting at the office cafeteria, side by side.

Jeongguk had a forlorn look on his face.

His eyes were teary, his lips fumbled as he bit down on them after listening to Jimin.
“I know that it’s really difficult for you. You have your own family, a husband, a daughter-”

“No.”

Jimin looks at Jeongguk with his eyebrows furrowed. “No?”
“I’m not married. Neither do I have a daughter.

I…I broke my marriage with Joon, after Taehyung went back to Korea.

That’s, his and Hobi’s daughter. Joon is my childhood best friend…so we’ve a good relationship. That’s all.”
Jimin lets out a sad laugh, “Damn man, Taehyung was right. I should have left his love story as just a story and forgotten about it.

I would have stayed cool.

But I got trapped in his love so much, now I can’t let it go.”
And then he looks at Jeongguk with desperation. “There’s no one else who can do this besides you, Jeongguk.

Taehyung keeps asking for you; he only wants to see you.

Dr. Kim feels that if he sees you just once, meets you, he might be able to hear the truth from you.”
Jimin sighs while looking down at his hands. “Just come once, Jeongguk, please. If not for me, then for Taehyung, please.”
Jeongguk looks at Jimin while breathing heavily, having heard the name after ten long years, having yearned to hear the man call his name, listen to the man sing to him again, for once in his life.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
“Jeongguk, you’ll have to handle Taehyung very carefully.

His mental state is very delicate, very unsteady.
Any kind of shock or bad news could permanently damage his system, and then, bringing him back may be impossible.” Seokjin tells Jeongguk as the three of them sit in the doctor’s office.
Jeongguk remains silent, looking at his fingers while biting his lips.

So many questions going on in his brain.

Seokjin takes in his hesitancy and places a firm hand on his knees.
“Jeongguk, you’re the bridge that joins Taehyung to the outside world. So…are you ready? Shall we do this?”

Jeongguk looks up at the doctor with nervous eyes and then looks at Jimin, who was silently pleading him for help. He closed his eyes tightly and nodded his head.
His heart was beating loudly knowing that he was going to meet the man whom he had given his heart away to, after ten long years.

Seokjin smiled and stood up. “Great. I’ll just go and check his vitals and call you”, he said and walked away,
leaving Jeongguk and Jimin sitting in the silence of the raging storms in their hearts, which had now become entangled because of this one man, both of them cafes for the most.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
A/N. A small typo in the previous slide. In the last line, it would be "cares" not "cafes" ☠️
When Jeongguk entered Taehyung’s room, the first thing he noticed was the pungent smell of the hospital room;

the scent which he had come across only twice in his life, one was during his father’s surgery
and another one was ten years back, for the same situation he was in right now.

Then he noticed the fluttering curtains, the creeping sunlight, the white light bulbs, the beeping sound of the machines.
And then he saw him, again, for the first time in ten years, sitting on the bed while looking outside the window.

And when Taehyung turned his head to look at him and smiled, Jeongguk’s whole world stopped then and there.
He felt like, as if, a departed dream had returned to him, as if a broken promise had come back from his past, waiting for him to fulfil it.

As if he was seeing Taehyung after a whole lifetime, as if he was just hit by a fresh breath of oxygen,
a burst of sunlight in the early morning.

He walked slowly towards Taehyung and sat down by the side of his bed, looking at him in awe.

Taehyung was looking at him with a confused smile, raising his eyebrows, silently asking Jeongguk why he was looking so shocked.
And when he brought one hand up to hold Jeongguk’s face and caress his cheek bone with his thumb, Jeongguk closed his eyes with a sharp breath.

He was overwhelmed by the touch, the same touch he yearned for all these years.
That touch of pure love and comfort which he had received for the last time, 10 years ago.

He went close, as close as he could get to Taehyung’s face.
Jeongguk held his own trembling hand up and touched the man’s face, once smooth, now a little bit rough and rugged as his own, because of age.

He touched the faint lines under his eyes, the rough beard that covered his face, the bandage on his head.
Taehyung pulled him into a bone crushing hug, probably trying to reassure Jeongguk that it was a small accident.

But for Jeongguk, it was not the same.

He clinged to Taehyung desperately, tears springing out of his eyes.
He felt the tough clog in his lungs for ten long years, getting washed away by warmth, and he could breathe again.

Taehyung kept on kissing the side of his head, stroking his hair as Jeongguk hugged him back tightly, with urgency.
He removed the hair from his forehead when Jeongguk pulled away.

“Love, why are you crying? It’s just a small accident look, they even bandaged it up pretty good.” Taehyung said in his soft voice, placing Jeongguk’s hand on his forehead.
Jeongguk nodded his head, while biting his lips as Taehyung raised his hand to wipe the tears from his face.

‘Love’.

He got to hear Taehyung’s voice, calling him love again, after so long, and his happiness had no limits.
By the way, you look a bit older. Did the lord take youth away from you in a few hours?” Taehyung asks cheekily.

Jeongguk smiles while rubbing his nose with the back of his hand. “Silly human…it’s just that I was crying and scared, that’s why. Those are tear stains.”
And just like that, they fell into a comfortable conversation with Taehyung telling him about his day, completely oblivious of the fact that he was talking about the past, the last day he remembers in 2013.
That night, Jeongguk cried in the confines of his bedroom.

He wailed, and wailed, crying at their fates, crying because he didn’t know what to do anymore, because he knew that Taehyung would go back hating him once he regained his memory.
And Jeongguk felt helpless more than he had ever felt in his whole life.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
“Taehyung, what's the last thing you remember before the accident?” Seokjin asks him while Jeongguk sits near his bed.

Taehyung smiles looking at Jeongguk while holding his hand.
“Jeongguk. He was standing by the pavilion, smiling, watching me do stunts on my bike.”

He then looks back at the doctor, while rubbing Jeongguk’s knuckles with his thumb.

“And then suddenly a car slammed into me and then everything went black.”
Seokjin nods his head and stands up, as if bracing himself for something.

“Taehyung, the accident you are talking about happened ten years ago. And we’re not in 2013. We’re in 2023.”
Taehyung’s face morphs into something akin to confusion and shock.
He kept on looking at Seokjin with a ‘what the fuck are you talking about?” face and then he looked at Jeongguk, sitting up straight. Jeongguk was holding both his hands tightly, his face stern. He looked scared.
“Gguk…what…what is he saying?”, he asks, smiling as if he has heard something ridiculous.

“Tae, just listen to him. Please.”, Jeongguk said, tightening his grip on his fingers.
He felt a hand on his shoulder as he looked back at Jin with confusion.

“Taehyung, let me explain. Because of the head injury, you’re suffering from retrograde amnesia.

And it’s very common with head injuries. So please don’t worry, you’ll remember everything.
I know you have a lot of questions. Jeongguk is with you. And I’m also there, whenever you need him.”

Saying that Seokjin left the room. Taehyung was completely distressed, petrified after listening to the doctor. He was restless, on the verge of a breakdown.
He held Jeongguk’s hand tightly who was watching him with a similar expression, his hands running over Taehyung’s arms.

“I don’t understand, Gguk. 10 years? 10 yea-”
“Tae it’s okay. It’s fine. I’m here with you, it's ok.” Jeongguk said, moving away from his seat in a rush.

He held Taehyung’s face in his hands, making him look at him trying to calm him down.
“We’ve been together for 10 years?” Taehyung asked, looking into Jeongguk’s eyes, searching for answers in them.

Jeongguk stilled.

His breath hitched the moment Taehyung asked the question.
He looked all over Taehyung’s face before closing his eyes, slowly nodding his head.

“How long have we been married?”

“Five years”, Jeongguk whispers, and then pulls Taehyung into a hug.
Both of them were crying, but for different reasons.

“I want to remember everything, love. Everyday, every second that I’ve spent with you, I want to remember everything.”

Taehyung says between pants and huffs.
Jeongguk doesn’t say anything. He just keeps on hugging Taehyung, knowing that everything was a lie.

That Taehyung hasn’t spent a single day with him since 2013, that they weren’t married,
that he will go back hating Jeongguk the way he deserved to be hated, once he gets back his memory.

But till then, Jeongguk would happily live a lie, if it meant being close to Taehyung again for a small amount of time.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
“Is everything alright sir?” Yoongi asks his customers for the nth time while running through the restaurant.

He was now a busy man, couldn’t quite believe that he would become the owner of the one of the biggest restaurant chains of London. He misses his best friend a lot.
Taehyung left London before watching him grow from rags to riches.

He even left whatever money he had earned from his thethen small income and street shows for Yoongi to achieve his dreams.
He hasn’t contacted Taehyung since then.

That’s why when he saw Jeongguk standing in front of his restaurant after so many years waiting for him, he knew that something was wrong.
“Yoongi, if you can’t do this, feel free to say so. We realise that we’re probably asking for a bit too much from you”, Jimin says with an understanding smile.

He and Jeongguk had explained the whole situation to him, taking him off guard.
Yoongi scoffed, after listening to Jimin, his eyes filled with tears.

“Too much? No, Jimin, you’re asking for too little. My business, my branch, all of it is Taehyung’s.

I started all this with the money he gave me. Otherwise how would this poor man have done anything?”
Yoongi sighed. “He told me that he would come back one day to take his share.” He laughs. “But he never said that he would come like this.

Don’t worry. I’ll shift into my old Wembley flat. This restaurant and my home, everything is his. Just tell me when are you bringing him.”
“Tomorrow,” Jeongguk says, smiling at Yoongi.

Yoongi nods understandingly. He couldn’t wait to meet his best friend again, after such a long time.
And that’s how Taehyung's fictional life of lies began.

Yoongi had somehow convinced him into believing that he is the owner of one of the biggest restaurant chains, and that Yoongi’s big ass house was his.
Jeongguk had moved in with Taehyung into that house, in hopes of bringing his memory back by getting him accustomed to scenarios which he was familiar with.
He spent most of his days with Taehyung, roaming with him in parks like they used to do.

He listened to Taehyung strumming through his old guitar, waking up draped in Taehyung’s arms, seeing Taehyung smile.
Jeongguk had fallen into this serene routine so easily, that everything felt right. Him being with Taehyung felt right.

But in the farthest corner of his subconscious, he didn’t forget that this was a lie.
That Taehyung would remember everything soon, that Jeongguk’s happy illusion would come to an end sooner than he thinks.

He didn’t forget the reality while making their breakfast, didn’t forget it while he was working in his office,
didn’t forget it when Taehyung sang the same old songs to him.

And somewhere in his heart, he started feeling more and more guilty with every passing day for keeping him in the dark.
He felt guilty when he Taehyung slept beside him at nights holding him tightly; he felt guilty when he kissed Taehyung again, and didn’t stop kissing him, didn’t stop feeling the warmth of those lips moving against his because Jeongguk was a selfish man;
he felt guilty while he helped Taehyung shave, while sitting on his lap as the man looked at him with all the love of the world for him in his eyes;

he felt guilty when he saw Jimin’s sad expression from afar, knowing that this whole situation was breaking his heart too.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
“I think now’s the right time for Jimin to come in front of Taehyung”, Seokjin says, while checking Taehyung’s reports. Jeongguk gave him a look of confusion while Jimin stirred in his seat.
“You see, Taehyung is recovering very fast, and his mental condition is also very healthy right now.

But if we keep him in the same scenario, his brain won’t fight to remember the missing pieces.”
He looks at Jimin sternly. “Taehyung has a history with Jimin. They are really good friends, close friends. They have spent good quality time in his work field.

So, his brain might register something, if Jimin comes in front of him now. He can trigger his memories back too.”
Jeongguk and Jimin looked at each other knowingly.

“So, it’s final. I think it's time for Major Kim Taehyung…to meet Head Journalist Park Jimin.”
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
“Yoongi, my best friend, love of my life, I don’t want to do this interview. You’re forcing me without any reason.” Taehyung says for the 446563th time, huffing in annoyance.
“Tae, try to understand, It’s not just any interview. Literally BBC news is going to interview.

They’re covering the success story of 10 most influential Asian people in London.

Just imagine how good marketing it is for our restaurant”,
Yoongi exclaims while driving the car to the said location.

Taehyung groans. “To hell with marketing. Instead, make me wear a bikini and put the photo outside the restaurant. Brilliant marketing strategy!”
“That is also a good idea though”, Yoongi scoffs, earning him a slap on his back from Taehyung.

Yoongi dropped him in front of the small cathedral, where Taehyung used to work as a snow removing staff, as his first job.
Taehyung stood there for a few minutes, with no sign of any reporter when he noticed a man approaching him on a bike.

The bike stopped in front of him and the man got down from it removing his helmet, finally looking at Taehyung,
and finally, for the first time, Taehyung felt something in his head.

A scenario, a peculiar scenario of dust, a loud sound of a bomb blast, black smoke and a voice calling him.
Taehyung started walking towards the man standing in front of him with a small camera in his hand, looking at him with a weird familiar look.

And Taehyung could see the vision again.
A man with headphones, a camera, a bomb blast, somebody /him/ jumping on the man to rescue him.

A stinging pain shot through his head and he closed his eyes tightly, clutching his head.

Next when he opened them, he saw the man smiling at him with his hand held out.
“Mr. Kim Taehyung?” the man asks and Taehyung takes his hand, shaking his head while nodding.

“I’m Park Jimin, BBC news. So…shall we begin our interview?”
They roamed around the heart of London, with Taehyung taking Jimin to the places he remembers where he had worked, and Jimin recorded everything, with a smile on his face.
Taehyung showed Jimin everything, took him to every shop, introduced him to every persona made friends with, from the fishermen of the market to his former boss at another restaurant.
He showed him the places where he used to sing on the streets, held his little street shows, the place he bought his guitar from, all while humming the said song with enthusiasm.
“Have you seen my husband? I met him for the first time at that cathedral.

He looked like an angel, the most beautiful man in this whole world.

I don’t know how the hell he fell in love with a hooligan like me, that too when I was practically jobless”, Taehyung had said,
with a lovestruck shy smile.

Jimin had never seen Taehyung like this, not even during the training camp.

He was seeing Kim Taehyung, the man in a different light, the man he was in the past.
And Jimin felt lucky to have lived such a beautiful time with him, getting a glimpse of the man that Taehyung truly was from heart.
─── :゚☆ *. ❆ .* ☆゚: ───
Taehyung was now standing on the platform of the station waiting for the train to Marble Arch Station.

Yoongi had sent him the location to the new branch of his restaurant, and he had to go there for the inauguration.
He was solving the crossword puzzle in the morning newspaper when he heard an announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we need to evacuate the station right now. Everybody up this way please.

Due to a reported bomb aboard the train, all passengers are requested to leave the station immediately, by the nearest available exit.
Please obey the instructions of the security personnel.”

Everyone started running towards the exit. Taehyung started walking following the crowd while folding the newspaper. The siren went off, indicating the emergency.
Taehyung stopped. He stopped as the other people rushed past him, somehow putting him into a sense of familiarity.

And then the visions started coming, again. One by one, in order.
The siren blowing, men running in uniform, smoke, blasts, /him/ in uniform, wires, guns, accident; then came visions of Yoongi, another accident, a party, his guitar, fish market, Jeongguk…and Jimin.”
Taehyung turned around and started walking in the opposite direction, in the direction of the security people.

His face held no expression as he entered the compartment as soon as he saw a black bag hanging from one of the hooks by the window, the bomb.
“There’s only three minutes left”, said the person in the neon uniform.

Then he was being held back by another person.

“Mister you can’t stay here. There’s a bomb on board, you need to evacuate now.”
Taehyung didn’t say anything. He was held back again when he tried to go near the bag.

“Mister-”

Taehyung held up his hand and said, “Ten pounds semtex, possibly with shrapnel, not motion sensitive, remote detonator.”
The other personnel looked at him in awe.

“This guy might just know what he is talking about, let him through”, he said and the man removed his hands from Taehyung.
Taehyung went near the bag and scrunched down on the ground.

He unhooked the bag carefully and put it down on the floor. He then unzipped the bag, his face twisted his concentration.
In the peripheral view of his mind he could see himself in uniform, he could see Jimin with the camera, he could see himself holding a bomb, red, blue and yellow wires.
Taehyung watched the wires in front of him minutely, his hands moving from the black wire to the red wire.

He could see the bridge, him and Jimin hanging from tied with harness, he could see soldiers training.
He took up the pen he was doing the cross puzzle with, held it under the red wire and finally closed his eyes, tore the wire away from the time circuit, all while holding his breath.

A ringing sound reached his ears and he opened his eyes, finally standing up.
“Tango Victor 191 control. The bomb has now been defused. I repeat, the bomb has now been defused.” The security personnel said over the walkie talkie.

Taehyung stood there with his forehead covered in sweat. His eyes had a deep distant look as he remained silent.
“Thank you so much. What’s your name sir?” The personnel asks. Taehyung turns his head to look at him. And then with the familiar monotone voice, he answers.
“I’m Major Kim Taehyung.

Bomb Disposal Squad.

South Korean Army.”

"Hyung!" Jeongguk tries to speak, but the word don't come out of his mouth. Instead all that could be heard was a muffled moan.
His mouth was covered by a large palm, body covered in sweat while he was getting fucked into oblivion in the closed confine of his closet.
His hair was being pulled back into a tight grip by the same person, hands tied behind his back with a silk tie, body bent forward while his insides were being rearranged in the most toe curling way ever.

He plopped down on the sofa, tilting his head facing the ceiling with his eye closed, breathing heavily, after making a monotonous, "hmm" to the question asked.
He heard footsteps coming towards his direction but didn't move; he already knew who the person was. Soft but cold fingers threaded through his hair, gently pressing on his scalp, making Taehyung sigh in content.
