Touchpoint is a network and community of #builders operating at the forefront of #web3. It's a decentralised support system and environment to network and build relationships.

With hardly any promotion, we received 200+ applications, onboarded 50 projects, and 15 expert groups and mentors.
We facilitated over 250 new relationships/connections, and hosted 15 knowledge sharing sessions and demos.

1. The Model Works
Overall we have seen that Touchpoint works and can provide real value to its participants. It is an effective way of accessing and sharing the expertise and knowledge dispersed across an ecosystem. It is amazingly efficient at that. (4/x)

We saw project partnerships result from our intros, we saw projects help each other with technical questions, best practices for legal structures, product feedback, ideation to name a few.

2. Onboarding
Touchpoint can be a real difference maker for onboarding. Especially for projects coming from outside the #shimmer ecosystem, having a dedicated "guide" and being able to connect to the most important ecosystem projects right away is extremely valuable. (6/x)

From feedback we've received from these projects it is also a feature that is quite unique to our ecosystem. Touchpoint allows us to not only bring people to the ecosystem but embed them in it. (7/x)

When it comes to onboarding people into Touchpoint, defining clear next steps and action items is key to avoid losing momentum. Regular check-ins can work wonders in keeping the connection going.
Improving this is one of our main objectives for '23. (8/x)

3. Expectation Management
In the beginning we set unrealistic expectations for what Touchpoint could and would achieve in the short term. Instead of building step by step we started with the grand vision right from the start.

4. Play the long game
Not everything takes off right away.
Some intros took a few months to result in a partnership.
Expert groups we onboarded started collaborating with projects a while after they joined.
Visions require time to fully materialise. (11/x)

If you see all that could happen it's sometimes hard to keep in mind that things need time to develop and come to fruition. But all in all we're convinced we laid a really strong foundation in 2022 and will keep building on it going forward. (12/x)

5. It's all about the ecosystem
Working with an amazing group of builders and projects over the past year is incredible. It's them who will define the success of #shimmer. And seeing what they have in store for once the network is live makes us incredibly #bullish. (13/x)
