Nathuram Godse was a hindutva advocate, who strictly believed in preserving all religions which were born on this land (matrbhoomi as he liked to call it). Mind u, these religions included Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism along with sanathan dharma.

Hindutva isn't a religious identity, rather it broadly classified all people who's religions were born in Hindustan under a broad category..Mohandas Karamchand believed in appeasement politics..

According to Godse,Gandhi's ideals of Truth and Non-violence were good for a perfect world,in this world,where our land had been attacked by Islamic rulers and many of our hindustanis were forcefully converted to islam,violence was the only way to counter this barrage of Invaders

In godse's own words, "Gandhi believed that Guru Gobind Singh ji, Chatrapati shivaji maharaj were all wrong to use violence". However, he didn't mind muslims using violence, as evident from the formation of Pakistan.

Godse firmly believed (and rightfully so) that if Karamchand was to be a little firm and direct towards the Muslim league, they would have never pressed for the demand of a separate country, which could've saved millions of hindu and sikh lives lost in punjab..

However, Gandhi tried to use fasting as a means of protest to stop partition, something which the league couldn't care less about. Against the wishes of the people of Hindustan, it was split into two pieces, but Gandhi was not done here..

When pakistan invaded Kashmir, india refused to provide it the 75crore inr which had been agreed to(bold move from the govt).

But Mohandas Karamchand started a fast unto death, and death of such a popular leader would've lead to bad results for the ruling party in next elections, so they had to give into Gandhi's demand. Gandhi was also double faced..

He provided shelter to thousands of muslim refugees in temples and gurudwaras, but forced Hindus and Sikhs to vacate mosques..

This modern Sickularism started back in 1947 itself, had Godse not shot and killed Karamchand, we don't know how many more innocent hindustanis could have been slaughtered by Islamists. Godse was in fact a hero, and still remains one in my eyes.
