Good lord, i have soo much to say.
BTW, to keep track on things: hear his bullshit here
First, if 'Joker' and 'The Batman' are officially DC Elseworlds, LITERALLY have no excuse for not #RestoreTheSnyderverse. Whatever do it in home or be wise to #SellZSJLToNetflix, no bullshit said can officially not make this happen, except the stupid free hate towards Zack.
Second, feel the ""enthusiasm" of him talking about the 2023 slate. He doesn't giving two shits about this movies, and are saying in the most poor, bland and generic way about them. But "generic" will be the keyword here.
Also, the consistency here is basicly trying to emulate Marvel. Even the use of "Chapters" instead of Phase, it doesn't change you are copying, and worst than that, not giving room to other interpretations outside the shared universe machine can exist.
Even things like 'X-Men 1992' and 'Spider-man: Freshman Year' exists within a mulktiverse, but still you dont NEED to watch that to understand Phases 5 or 6 of Marvel Studios films.
And what Phase 4 teach Marvel is, sometimes, pushing to have you content EVERYWHERE with quantity is not the best answer, that's why they are going to focus on the 'Special presentation' thing for now on and slow down on the TV series.
He even used the "writers room" concept which many, MANY shared universe projects (from Marvel to Transformers ) used already. But that means nothing, when most of the project have also his filthy hands over the script duties. Which brings me to:
'Superman: Legacy': Regurgitating the same bullshit what "Real DC/Superman Fans" saying for years on what the movie about the character should be, finally Superman will have a version for the fans what you shouldn't ask where they were at January 6, 2021 can call it "theirs".
And i need James Gunn writing (and probably directing) a Superman movie as i need acid in my eyes. and i definitely don't need that. Every single word of him talk about the movie, the misused image of All Star Superman to please "the fans", everything in there pisses me off.
And James Gunn keep ruin, i mean, writing things lik the Creature Commandos animated series, which obviously is him follow his book of "took what i did in GOTG and transform into a formula". Also, is that Weasel there???
Again, i need James Gunn writing The Autorithy as i need acid in my eyes. And again, i definitely don't need acid in my eyes.
'Waller' is the only project what raise my interest, much because Gunn is too busy doing Peacemaker season 2 (because he will direct the Superman movie) and gonna give the keys to the wonderful Jeremy Carver (Doom Patrol).
BUT when he said the "Peacemaker crew will join her", i feel we gonna have a "Book of Boba Fett" situation in our hands, and i don't like that. But this one i'll keep my eyes close.
Lanterns: i can't believe i'm gonna say this, but even the Greg Berlanti concept sound WAY more interesting than this. "True Detective, but with Space Cops (working on Earth)" its a lazy, lazy pitch, but can fit the HBO budget.
my eyes open* dammit
Paradise Lost: We don't need "Game of Thrones, but with Wonder Woman". Even they based this on 'Historia', again, is the second series with the concept of "if we catch a HBO show and put DC characters on it?" and again, is just too damn lazy.
The Brave and the Bold: Bruce with Damian could excite me in another scenario, but with 'The Batman' universe rolling out (from a very so-so start) and the clear fact of probably James Gunn already wrote a draft for this film shows WBD, is just hard to get excited.
Also, cannot trust the person who said "Damian is my favorite Robin" and highlight the fact he was a assassin, which is the least interesting aspect of the character (even that i understood this is a explanation for the GA).
Again, Booster Gold can work, unless we NOT see things like "Written by James Gunn", which sadly, will happen.
Unless in some way and shape Supergirl appear in 'Legacy', i cann see this movie been to Superman what 'Black Adam' was to 'Shazam'. And look, i love Tom King and i think his work is very cinematic, but the fact we deal with Gunn at helmer of things raise questions.
Swamp Thing will eb a horror movie, which is... fine i guess. But again, the presentation of Gunn doesn't raise much hype around that.
"The directors, writers, creative vision is all that matters, storytelling is king" I've seen promisses like that before, and no one paid off. Easy to say, hard to do and harder to believe when you are writing most of the projects as well...
"I hope this was exciting for you"
This is probably one of the most bland presentations that i've ever seen. Point out that he doesn't explain clear if certain actors remain in certain roles (i believe he will do that when the Flash comes up), but as i told you, he will not reboot his TSS & Peacemaker characters.
It felt souless, superficial, with every single word specifically chosen to sell that is *the slate of your dreams* while it isn't. Is like repeating promisses that we have seen broken, and will be broken again at the sign of the first flop.
These movies and whatever connection they are building have A LOT to prove, and having someone soo incompetent and problematic as Gunn at helm also raises no confidence, at all. Most of the projects we just want to see in other context or in preference far away to Gunn's hands.
I feel sad watching this, you know? Like a desperate attempt to cheerlead something what doesn't at all invoke any level of excitement, trust, or hype whatsoever. Is cleary a new era design to be "consume our products and ask no questions, for god's sake" and feel very souless.
Also, point out to the fact he just reveal HALF of the plan. Even he knows most of this, at the end, can't happen, whatever because the plans have change of flux because of the very possible flops, or Warner can (and probably will) be sold again.
Critics aside Kevin Feige, when he says "I'm gonna do something", even with changes along the way, he's commited to do them. Whatever its Gunn & Safran's endgame, i felt is more fear to commit to it in case of failure than assume and make sure that promise works from the start.
Anyway, expect all the 2023 DC Films to flop, Gunn have full 2024 to hype up his rebooted franchise and mysteriously see his dickriding don't covert into tickets in 2025.
And to close, there is no worst time to be a fan of movies and DC Comics than today, and look, we pass through [A LOT] already. God help us all.

@TheRock The hierarchy of review will change, with my official review of #BlackAdam for your reading pleasure!!! Check out the thread and good reading!
@TheRock The so-called DCEU has been a mess for a long time. After sabotaging Zack Snyder's (great and superior) plans for this shared universe, the "Hope & Optimism" Team formed by Geoff Johns and John Berg swam and died on the beach, especially after the disgrace of 'JOSStice League.
But the plans had followed, “led” by the incompetent Walter Hamada. After Discovery bought WB, what fans wanted was someone to put this shared universe back into focus, but no one imagined that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would be one of those people.

Guys and Gals, is simple:
Elon Musk, that baldfuck incel, bought twitter, in a attempt to heal his fragile ego by making this site his new 4chan-chat-room. But that's the issue: he spend all his money on the site, money he got from Tesla.
He charging for a verify isn't just a desperate attempt to make money atop a very clear bear-trap builded to lure he in, but also allow every lie-spreader, fascist and fake-news cunt make themselves reliable.
The verify seal is for we know the person behind important and relevant accounts are really from these people. This isn't just for famous people, but is extremely relevant for journalist and deputies, for example.

My intention tonight was to write about 'Black Adam' (a movie which i genuine enjoyed), but the world remind us if you are a DC Fan, you have no right to be happy. Because THIS happen, and its time to talk about and give my 2 cents. 🧵
Before dive in, FINALLY people are accepting that TSS floped (but a friendly tip, wasn't because of MAX dual release. From Mortal Kombat to Dune, all these movies had dual releases AND made bank).
"Walter Hamada" and "well liked" in the same sentence, what a joke.

Daily remind that:
- Emmerich and his crew hidden the numbers of everything from Discovery, including the real numbers of ZSJL. They are aware of the real numbers and not invest into #RestoreTheSnyderverse is ask for losing easy cash. [+]
Also, a very important remind that WBD have all the right to invest into the #DCEU again. Different of the Snyderverse, it proposes a long therm plan "without ending" and a build up for multiple franchises. [+]
We all know all that Snyder wants is rightfully close his story. the focus on what we should make noise is for ALL DC Fans have the same rights, sin't about "one win, one lose" or "if we have it, they can't". Focus on make sure ALL DC Fans are rewarded. #RestoreTheSnyderverse

Excited for #BlackAdam? Here is some recommended reading before the movie, follow the thread for more!
Lets begin with the beginning: The Marvel Family #1 (1945), by C.C. Becker and Otto Binder, was the newest magazine from the Captain Marvel Family, which introduced the anti-hero/nemesis, as his origin and the origins of the Marvel family, #BlackAdam
In 1977, years after DC got Fawcett, the official and direct sequel of that story would be publish on Shazam! #28, in the story 'The Return of Black Adam' by E. Nelson Bridwell (writer) & Kurt Schaffenberger (art). #BlackAdam

Why people on this fandom we are getting discussions and attitudes straight from 2018? Move on from that mentality people, is already damn time.
You have all the right to not want to watch a movie, that doesn't make it a boycott, and keeping that in your mind will only lead you to frustration. With that said: Ray Fisher not wanting to watch the movies under Hamada production is not a war call [+]
in special that Fisher defends you not attack other creatives. You not interested, don't watch it, is simple. But be careful to make something REALLY important to call out, what Fisher put his ass on the line to denounce, and make it about yourself and what you want. [+]
