It’s kind of scary how well hyperpartisanship serves to obscure what Republicans are actually doing with their never-ending attacks and conspiracy theories on Biden, Harris, Obama, and Democrats; which is attacking America and democracy itself (because they are fascist traitors).

See this thread on how Republicans collectively responded to Russia attacking Ukraine (by blaming Biden’s non-existent ‘weakness’ and the West in general). They are the #PartyofTreason

And if you look at what Republicans do, it’s clear they want nothing more than to destroy this nation. That’s why they still push COVID/vaccine lies, ban books and free school lunches; pass bills to defund education; try to rip healthcare from millions; refuse to expand Medicaid

It’s why they oppose common sense gun control and living wages/raising the minimum wage. It’s why they oppose expanding/protecting voting rights and have gutted the voting rights act. It’s why they incite political violence and openly conspired to overthrow the U.S. government.

It’s why they attack marginalized groups; strip fundamental rights from women; want to ban contraception & marriage equality & eliminate the separation of church and state; pass bills to target trans youth; embolden Nazis and domestic terrorists; and weaken our national security.

It’s why they prevented Biden from filling key administrative roles; eliminated COVID relief; allowed the Women’s Health Protection Act and assault weapons ban to expire; are coming after Social Security and Medicare; oppose programs to end poverty and homelessness, and on and on

It’s why they oppose providing assistance to Ukraine; side with Russia over our intelligence agencies; oppose health benefits for veterans and active service members; oppose lowering Rx drug costs; oppose clean energy or combating climate change; and offer nothing to help us ever

It’s why they’re trying to defund the IRS and FBI; interfere with active DOJ investigations; elevate terrorists like Ashli Babbitt or murderers like Kyle Rittenhouse as “heroes/martyrs;” got rid of metal detectors outside the House chamber; and want to terminate the Constitution.

Here’s the formula for figuring out what side Republicans will take on ANY issue/policy:

Does it help America/strengthen democracy? Republicans are against it.

Does it weaken or harm America/democracy? Republicans are unilaterally in favor of it.

It’s not left vs. right anymore. It’s democracy vs. fascism. There are no “both sides” or “middle ground” to these two extremes, despite the fact that the media continues to try to present everything that way. Democrats are the only pro-democracy party.
