2. Helium (He) is the second most abundant element in the universe and is also the second lightest element.
3. Lithium (Li) is the lightest metal and is highly reactive, and used used in the medical field to treat bipolar disorder and depression
4. Beryllium (Be) is a hard, strong, lightweight metal used in aerospace and electronic components.

5. Boron (B) is a metalloid used in boron fiber composites and as a neutron absorber in nuclear reactors.
6. Carbon (C) is the basic building block of all known life and is also the fourth most abundant element in the universe.

7. Nitrogen (N) is essential for life and makes up about 78% of Earth's atmosphere.
8. Oxygen (O) is essential for respiration and makes up about 21% of Earth's atmosphere.

9. Fluorine (F) is the most reactive element and forms compounds with almost all other elements.

10. Neon (Ne) is a noble gas that is used in neon lights and as a shielding gas in welding!
11. Sodium (Na) - Sodium is a highly reactive metal that is so reactive it never occurs naturally in its pure form.

12. Magnesium (Mg) - Magnesium is the lightest structural metal and is an important component in many common items, such as cell phones, laptops, and cameras.
13. Aluminum (Al) - Aluminum is the most abundant metal in the earth's crust and is used in beverage cans, foil, and airplane parts.

After this point nearly all of the remaining elements are radioactive, help with some alloys and have few known applications OR exist for seconds and then degrade.
Some exceptions might be U for Uranium or Pu for Plutonium.
