My journey into the #ordinal hype.

Here I will cover how you can inscribe ordinals.
- Without a node
- Held in your own wallet
- Quick and easy

1/4 Doing it yourself - without a node.
If you are like me and feel the #FOMO while your #BTC node syncs, well it's simple.

Things needed:
- A wallet to receive the ordinal
- An inscription method
- Some #BTC
- An internet connection :P

2/4 Wallet-wise, use @SparrowWallet.
It allows you to:
- Send each ordinal to a unique address
- Label each address so you don't spend it by accident

To use, just follow:

3/4 Inscription is easy with @ordinalsbot.
Just:
- upload the image (larger = costlier),
- paste the receiving address (from above),
- select the speed, and
- send the BTC

They ask for satoshis rather than BTC, easily convert it here:

4/4 Then you wait, depending on the speed you chose.

To see your ordinal, go to ordinals.com with the ID given by the bot.

P.S. Once inscribed you will have a few different links.

Commit Tx - progress of it being sent to your selected wallet (otherwise held with the team)
Inscription - link to your ordinal

@ordinalsbot seems to be down for now. I wonder what they are up to.

Only other alternative I know is running a full node which can take days to setup if you have a decent PC and internet connection.
