Bob Ney: The theme of "workers" was all throughout Biden's speech. And instead of introducing 19 new things he was going to do, he mentioned a couple of things he'll work on but recapped all the things he's accomplished so far.

Teachers seem to be the ones at the bottom of the hill catching all the sh*t that rolls downhill. (con't)

(con't) For years teachers have told me they keep food in their desks for kids who are hungry. This comes out of their pockets, & Repubs accuse them of being groomers.

One teacher told me she buys one bag of groceries for herself & one bag for her students so she can send a few cans of food home with them on the weekend. This isn't usurping parents, it's helping parents who are struggling.

Benjamin I. Sachs: This was probably a protected strike so the company tried to sue the union in state court, & the state court said the NLRB should decide. SCOTUS probably didn't take this case to say the state supreme court was right.

Sharon Block: This absolutely undermines the NLRB's authority. For decades we've had one body to decide if unions can strike. It's going to undermine the NLRB if the courts decide, & it will be destabilizing for unions not to have one place to go for decisions.

Phil Glover: I can't say that I was too nervous abt the Chinese balloon going across U.S. I think social media & the way media is so segregated now, where people listen to the news that aligns w/ their beliefs, drives more wedges in population

Phil Glover: As the administration has attempted to bring manufacturing back to the States, people don't realize how long that takes. Building a plant, training people to build chips, for ex, it all takes time. It's not like clicking a button.
