1. From the @washingtonpost article:

"It is unclear whether Pence will comply with the subpoena. His advisers had previously said he was not interested in appearing before the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

2. Pence has told people privately that he has concerns about testifying against Trump because of executive privilege, according to the person familiar with the matter."

3. The Post cleverly builds from facts about what Pence has said in the past to conclude that the may not comply. The Post doesn't say whether Pence has just recently received the subpoena. What I'm waiting for is a report from source that says when the subpoena was served.

1. For those who may not know, the US and Russia had the Open Skies Treaty that Russia abused and #45 terminated. It allowed overflights with specialized aircraft to get closeup views of strategic sites. We don't have a similar agreement with China.

2. I've been looking for detailed track map of the actual balloon track that after so many track prediction maps is strangely unavailable as far as I can see. I think the Chinese were focused on a single objective. Not Montana's ICBM basing though that may have been a subterfuge.

1. Ukraine's general staff reports that today Russia lost 920 kia and 2240 wounded in all regions of Ukraine war. To give this some context, there were just a few times that the US reported over 600 US kia for an entire month of the 21 year Vietnam war.

2. Russia's losses are not sustainable but we have ceded the ground to Kremlin's propagandists to report on the war free of truth. More needs to be done to break through the wall of lies imposed by propaganda to start to paint Putin, Shoigu and RT as world's top Russian killers.

1. On NY statute of limitations, last reimbursement check from #45 to Cohen that I can find was dated August 1, 2017. So under the NY general 5 year statue of limitations, the statue ran on Aug 1, 2022. The Cuomo blanket tolling EO added 228 days that would be March 17, 2023.

I'm not a NY state practitioner but I think most crimes have already exceeded the NY statute of limitations ("SOL"). Class A felonies and certain sexual offenses are exceptions but I'm not sure when SOL was enacted to say that the E. Jean Carroll or Epstein rapes are chargeable.

Just occurred to me he likely committed perjury in his deposition and that just happened a few months ago so that would clearly still be in play. E. Jean has his DNA and he was dumb enough to be deposed. Shades of Monica Lewinski and Bubba both of whom should have defaulted.
