🧵Incoming thread on Haiti - will probably take a couple of days to post everything since I'm just getting started and there's a lot of history to pull in.
Remember when Trump roasted Hillary? He's not wrong here and we'll go through it all (and more)
The news lately has been riddled with Ohioans complaining about an invasion of Haitian immigrants ruining their small town of Springfield, taking their homes, hunting pets and wildlife, and more. In a small town of 60,000 people, adding another 30% to the population in the form of 20,000 migrants is no small growth. Some residents insist the population is more like 50% Americana and 50% Haitian.
I’m not here to write about that saga, as sad as that is. Instead this thread will serve as a place to ask questions and remind (or inform) us all of the history of Haiti — the political corruption, the tragedy, and potential evil acts against Haiti and her citizens.
I do have one question however: who sent these people to Springfield Ohio? American residents are saying the Haitians started coming into the town two years ago. Who sent them? It’s not plausible a new immigrant coming into this country thought of going to this city on their own - at least not until they already had Haitians there to tell their friends and family to come. But who suggested they go there in the first place?
On the onset of the news of Haitian illegal immigrants going viral, suddenly there’s a bomb threat in this tiny town. What timing. It’s almost like someone doesn’t want us asking about Haiti or its illegal immigrants. Why would that be? Perhaps it brings up painful memories for the Clintons and their cohorts.
It all begin on January 12, 2010 - Haiti is struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake with more than 50 aftershocks in the following two weeks. More than 300,000 people perished.
The day after the earthquake, the United Nations (UN) called an emergency meeting with Bill Clinton as the USA rep. Clinton asked for all cash to be sent to the Clinton Foundation.
