How did it feel performing today and what it's like medalling?
#KaoMiura - He's happy! Today was amazing. Before I went on the ice Keegan put such an amazing program and the energy of the rink from that made me skate well.
I was pleased with my components and I had the right speed and paced myself well.
#KeeganMessing - I am beyond stoked. This is my first championship medal and it took 28 years of skating to get here. To put down a program like that is unreal. I'm happy i can put my last North American competition like this. The crowd was amazing.
The altitude was there but we paced ourselves and took our tome. I felt on top of the world after landing the axel. I'm glad I could give motivation to Kao!
#ShunSato - I was undergoing surgery a year ago. So I want to show last tear me I did so much this year. The short isn't consistent so I want to really nail the short at the next competition.
Kao and Shun; you've been to the same competition together multiple times this season how does it feel to be on the podoum together?
#KaoMiura - ever since we got here we were hoping to be on the podium together. I wanted to keep up with Shun.
Around lunch, Shun talked about how he was undergoing surgery a year ago and I thought that was motivation for him to do well. I thought it was nice to have such a rival and friend at this competition.
#ShunSato - In this competition I'm really happy to win bronze. I really owe Kao my bronze. We spent yesterday relaxing and playing games. He said we'd be on the podium together. I really hope we have more occasions like this in our careers.
How did you hold up with the altitude during this event?
#KaoMiura - The short felt tougher. For the free skate... maybe because I had no stakes and was pacing myself. The dry air at the end was painful.
#KaoMiura says today he forgot his costume. Thanks to everyone involved, I was able to get enough energy to begin the day with. The audience was great, and Shun and Keegan skated great. All this energy accumulated... I would even say exploded in my performance
Did you second guess retiring after today?
#KeeganMessing - Putting up a career best score, win a championship medal, and everything... I told myself hmm maybe I don't want to leave but then I stood up and remembered why.
#KeeganMessing My body hurts more and more everyday and I really want to take my kids on adventures with a working body. This sport is amazing with the friends, the excitement, the nerves, and all the people.. I'll miss it all
#KeeganMessing says this is the best way to leave the sport: in the hands of the next generation. I skate to inspire, make it fun, and have it from the onlookers and have the joy come from the tv.
To see the next generation so strong inspires me to be stronger and pushes me. To be here next to them... I'm honoured to leave it to them.
#KeeganMessing - The altitude was tough this week. I stayed hydrated. The short felt easy. On our day off, I did a program without jumps and I already felt soooo tired. I was like oh my gosh how will tomorrow be.
I told myself to pace myself, not push too hard... this is the best condition I've been this year. Competing with Kao and Shun is an honour. "hold onto it" is what Keegan says to them about their friendship. Keegan also says congrats to Shun on getting so far after injury!
#ShunSato - Ever since we got here we said"the altitude is so high". But after the women skated, we told ourselves to keep up with them and skate at full energy. Altitude isn't a reason.
Kao is the youngest and Keegan is the oldest... What does that mean to have the oldest and youngest on the podium?
#KaoMiura - Keegan and I are a 14 year difference I think. I watched him as a little boy and aspired to be like him. So it's amazing how this sport is like
Are you the beauty or the beast?
#KaoMiura - The Beauty appeared next to me a bit today. I have no beauty appear in me so I think I am the beast 😂

#BoyangJin on his physical condition: I tried my best. In practice even doing one jump felt really bad…just to be doing all the jumps and putting all my effort into them I think is already pretty good. In practice yesterday, I told Brian and Tracy I don’t want to do any jumps.
“Yesterday I didn’t do any jumps [in my runthrough], I only did two triples because I felt just so bad. This morning’s practice too-I gave every last bit of strength I had just doing two jumps and my body felt very bad. Same as when I got onto the ice during my 6 minute warm up.”
“I gave up every bit of energy in my body. Yesterday I felt a little bit uneasy mentally, and I thought maybe I should withdraw.”
#JimmyMa 🇺🇸: It was absolutely horrid. I didn't trust my body or my legs. I second-guessed myself at every turn. My back - it's ongoing and it's something I want to get fixed up first. All we could do this week was bandaid it and honestly looking back, it didn't hurt as much as I
thought it was going to, like in the practice or warm-up. So I just need to trust my body a bit more. I think I was too focused on what could have been and what I needed to do.
It's a really great feeling when the crowd is behind you. Two of my best friends are out in the crowd. It's good to know that whatever you do, they still love and support you. I want to make you guys proud. Today wasn't it but I'm gonna have a lot more changes to do that
#LiamKapeikis 🇺🇸: I was very happy with the 4S at the start. That was something I was hoping to do today. But overall today was very rough, definitely not pleased with how I went. But I think I will learn more from these failures more than I would have from a perfect skate.
I think the altitude definitely plays into it but, for me, I'm not 100% sure what was going on. I felt quite good but sometimes it just doesn't go your way. That's why I feel like I need to go over it to figure out what went wrong.
In the past few weeks, I've been able to start learning the 4T and I'm hoping to add that in next season. I did one in practice a couple of days ago. I'm hoping to have 2-3 quads in my FS next year
#SihyeongLee 🇰🇷: I feel very tired and I almost died at the end of the program. (laughter) Before the FS, I was concerned about the cardio, not the jumps. I just thought "Just finish the program, just keep breathing in and out." I didn't worry about the jumps at all.
My choreographer recommended the music for the SP and FS to me this year. I like the music, the costume and the choreography.
There's a lot of energy, the fans here cheering for me. I was kind of surprised that there are a lot of fans cheering for me here. That really makes me happy and thanks to that, I finished the program well.
#RikuMiura/#RyuichiKihara: We were quite nervous coming into the comp due to the altitude, but despite the small misses, they were so happy that they were able to win the gold medal.
#EmilyChan: It was a really special moment for us to be able to go out there and connect the way we did. We're both very happy to be able to put it together and have confidence in each other and ourselves today
#IsabellaGamez / #AleksandrKorovin 🇵🇭 felt the effects of altitude more in the SP over the FS. Isabella really enjoyed connecting with the audience and the FS is her favourite. Since they train in Florida, it wasn't a big flight over to Colorado. They arrived on Wednesday
and tried to adapt quickly to the altitude, which in her opinion was more of a mental challenge than a physical one.
They became a team in 2021 after Marina (Zueva) and Maxim (Trankov) put them together.
This is their first season together after Aleksandr had been released from his fed to compete for the Phillipines. Isabella said that they struggled a lot getting back out there after their 2-3 year hiatus from comps while waiting for release.
