1.He says fines & mortgages are unlawful. Targeting the elderly & vulnerable, he charges $1499 for his "Educate for Protection" webinars where he teaches ppl how to challenge their debts in court using pseudo legal "sovereign citizen" strategies. Meet Derek Balogh.

2. Derek believes the govt & statutes are illegitimate. He believes individuals have 2 personas, one of flesh & blood (the “live human”) & the other a separate fictitious identity. In his classes, he teaches ppl how to become “live humans” & escape their legal liabilities

3. Derek is also planning a class action - the “Educate for Protection People’s Class Action”. It’s not entirely clear what the action is all about. Derek describes it as a “collective action, with the aim of reaching Grand Jury”

5. There’s also “Equitable Rights” & “Native Assessor” Zoom classes which Derek runs w/ another pseudo law adherent, Tanee. Derek tells ppl that the best way he can help them is if they pay for multiple classes

6. Derek claims he’s had lots of success with his pseudo law strategies both in the courts & in Fair Work. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

7. In the above video, Derek says what he does best is fight in the Fair Work Commission. HE’S LOST EVERY SINGLE CASE! His arguments are completely baffling & incomprehensible. In a recent case, FWC said he “didn’t understand provisions of the Act upon which he sought to rely”

8. The applicant in that case tried to ask Derek about it in a recent Zoom call. This was after FWC had dismissed it. “Do u have a timeline for when we’re going to continue?”, she asked. It appears Derek either didn’t tell her she’d lost, or didn’t properly explain it to her

9. In the Supreme Court, Derek is even more destructive than he is in FWC. One of his followers defaulted on her mortgage & the bank sought repossession of her home. Derek “helped” her by preparing her defence…

10. The “defence” was: the Queen was unlawfully removed as head of state, rendering the federal & Vic elections invalid & therefore the Court lacks jurisdiction to grant the bank’s claim. Derek’s “client” lost & was also ordered to pay costs

11. Derek also “represented” a suspended pharmacist in VCAT. The gist of Derek’s argument was that the Board couldn’t suspend her registration b/c there were allegations of criminal conspiracy and misprision of treason against Dan Andrews

12. In dismissing the case, VCAT urged the pharmacist to seek proper legal advice

13. In 2008 Derek himself actually spent time in jail for refusing to to comply w/ a repossession order after he defaulted on his mortgage. And now he advises ppl to use the same tactics he did that landed him homeless

14. There are MANY complaints about Derek online. Ppl who paid to be part of his workshops or paid him for “legal advice” & then never heard back. Stories of victims who lost their homes after relying on his advice

15. His Unlawful fines Zoom meetings are full of elderly & vulnerable ppl who believe Derek’s advice will help them win in court. These poor people. It’s really fcking sad 😢 Here are some examples to highlight the way Derek & his mate Tanee take advantage of their followers

16. This elderly gentleman asks Derek & Tanee whether he can use a doctor’s certificate in court to prove he’s a “live man”. Another man has defaulted on his mortgage. Tanee assures him that as long as he follows their advice, he will win in court

17. This elderly man has deregistered his company in reliance on Derek & Tanee’s advice. He’s desperately awaiting them to tell him about the next steps to prove he’s a “live man”. And this lady doesn’t have a mortgage but Tanee tells her she needs one to “move into the private”

18. Here Derek advises another elderly man on how to beat his fine in court. Derek says the key to winning is Derek’s paperwork, the Criminal Charges Against Dan Andrews

19. Finally, Derek & Tanee explain
to this elderly man that all legislation is invalid & Derek has proven that through the use of his Criminal Charges Against Dan Andrews

20. Tanee’s real name is Shane Charles Wenzel. In 2012, a NZ court sentenced him to 3 years jail for mortgage fraud. H/t @CharlieBBucket
